Thank You - I bought 24 used (655 miles) and yes smoking deal including tour pkg for more than 1k less than new price for just motorcycle lol - Appreciate you giving details incl torque specs - need to check mine since i am fixing some bad install of parts by bike shop. (example they installed OEM Heated Grips and could not correctly install connector to correct OEM harness for grips, used the 12V Outlet harness connector, but could not figure out the issue, and other small issues.) I have bike tore apart and going over everything and i installed BLASTER-X Brand Tail light this thing is awesome if you have not heard of their product.
@BlueEyedRider8410 күн бұрын
I put a CustomLED taillight on mine, so haven't checked out the Blaster-X. Good idea to go over everything on a used bike. Never know what bolts could be missing, not torqued right or even tightened down, wiring disasters, etc. If you need any info on a specific item feel free to reach out. I have the service manual so can get you torque specs if needed, etc.

Put these and the heated grips on my 2020 model. Both install vids as well as the fairing removal vids helped a lot to supplement the not very detailed black and white instructions.

Hi! Do you have a problem with QS when you downshift it? For me, I often have to use strong kicks to downshift.
@BlueEyedRider843 ай бұрын
I only have issues when I am low RPM. 2->1 is probably the one where I have the biggest issues while slowing down if I don't shift early enough because of slowing down. Never have a problem while in higher RPMs though.

@@mariusz3292 try closing the throttle then downshift, seems easier this way.

Hello, I have sw motech frame sliders I would like to remove and just put the oem bolts back. Unfortunately, I purchased the bike used and I don't have the original bolts. Do you have the originall part numbers for these bolts and where to purchase them? Thanks
@BlueEyedRider8411 ай бұрын
I don't have a chance to look through the diagrams at this moment, but you can view all the diagrams on Kawasaki's site: www.kawasaki.com/en-us/owner-center/parts/2021/ZX1002KMFNN It will give you part numbers for the bolts. You can order the bolts directly from Kawasaki or RevZilla typically carries most of the bolts. If you still have issues I will get you the part numbers and direct links when I have some time.

Are you planning on changing the slip on pipe? Not too many options the stock one is just ugly. Curious to hear your thoughts. Thanks for sharing
@BlueEyedRider842 жыл бұрын
My initial plan was going with the Akrapovic slip on: www.kawasaki.com/en-us/shop/vehicle-accessories/motorcycle/zx1002kmfnl/127668/ninja-1000-sx-akrapovic-slip-on-exhaust However, I really hate the way they big ugly cats and such look underneath so am leaning toward a full system, which will require a tune. Since I got the 5 year extended warranty I am waiting and will research all options available at that time. It is hilarious that the marketing for the bike uses words such as stylish, modern, I think I even saw the word futuristic somewhere to describe the exhaust. It is down right ugly and I have not met or talked to a single person who actually liked that OEM atrocity.
@farouk65642 жыл бұрын
@@BlueEyedRider84 I am debating that as well. Full exhaust is a big investment also not sure how the resale value be effected. The Yoshi looks and sounds good I am leaning towards that option. We’ll see. Good luck!

For veryses 1000 orginal oem frame sliders better or engine guard after markets better
@BlueEyedRider842 жыл бұрын
Engine guards will always provide more protection than frame sliders. They wrap the entire motor area, will protect the fairings and frame better and hold up better in a crash. Frame sliders are really best for very slow speed spills or if you drop your bike, though a cage will protect your bike even more in those situations as well. When sliding at high speed, they can catch and actually flip the bike causing more damage. They also aren't as "rugged" so don't hold up as well. Their advantage is they are low profile unlike a cage/engine guard that really stands out. If you don't mind the look of a cage, it will provide the best protection. You can also add accessories to it such as camera mounts.

Any need to support the engine underneath or by removing and replacing screws one by one everything lines up?
@BlueEyedRider84 Жыл бұрын
No, there isn't any need to support the engine or any special considerations if you are only removing the necessary bolts and everything lined up fine for my installation.

Ugh. Tedious. Cut this down to about 25% and you're there. No blind people are doing this install, so the minutiae could be skipped, IMO.

Disagree with you there bud. No one is forcing you to watch and if you think that you can do better then why don't you try posting 'how to' video content. Some people like to see all the steps to avoid re-work. I've been working on bikes and installing aftermarket accessories to my bikes for years and I appreciate seeing these step by step videos before I start. I guess we can't be magicians with motorcycle accessory installs like you are!

@Teakstar67 The DC accessory port was a quick cut down version because I had mic issues and I asked for feedback but no one gave it to me. I do appreciate your input. I am actually considering making two versions for my videos. Quick and elaborate. What is your opinion on that approach?
@BlueEyedRider842 жыл бұрын
@Darin Burr - Thanks! I appreciate that people do enjoy having in depth videos. So many videos I find leave so much out and you sit there questioning things. I do see how a shorter simpler video can be helpful to some, but more in depth really helps out people who want to see everything and those who want to skip ahead can

@JG-TigerBiker - Thanks! It is nice to see that folks who have been installing things for years still get help from my videos and how involved I make them. It takes a lot of work to get all the details for folks, but I think it is worth it.
