Love it Chopsy - no doubt that is a special bike and I entirely get the joy of ownership thing relating to the engineering within the bike, I so hope you keep this one for long enough for it to become a classic......one of those bikes that has grown on me, I didn't like it when it first came out but the more I see yours the more I like it - and of course it's much better "in the flesh" than even your superior editing skills make it look. @@LambChopRides mate maybe you need a last upgrade, a complete Black Diamond fairing kit from "webike" in Japan, they have belly/rake cowls and even fairings that wraps the tank partially, the most expensive fairing kit is the one that got carbon composite on, they also have pure carbon fiber parts but it's so expensive. So you can preserve the original parts and it wouldn't hurt your feeling if you will accidentally drop that beauty again.

Greetings, Chop! Thanks for this great piece. My, what a beast. This is one of those terminally cool machines that regardless of how long you have it, you will never forget it. I had a 1969 Camaro like that. I was a foolish kid and ended up more or less ruining the car in the search for performance! The net result was a car that was so brutally fast you could barely drive it on the street! But my word the fun I had in that thing. There is just nothing quite like having that much fury at your command. It's a miracle I survived the experience! But I wouldn't have done it any other way. I see this bike in that same vein! Thanks for taking us along for the ride.

Great video Chops... awesome bike... can’t wait for Kawasaki to do a next gen but as a proper sport bike with lots of weight reduction. Note... It’s not the supercharger impeller breaking the sound barrier, that’s just marketing speak, Kawasaki engineers will shake their head.... when does it happen... when you shut your throttle after using some boost.... it’s the blow-off valve releasing the boost pressure... blow off valves can be silent but you can also chose the sound volume and note to suit your preference. Brock performance talks about this in one of his videos on the H2. Blow off valves are not strictly necessary on a supercharger bike as the impeller is mechanical driven. Turbos need a blowoff valve as stalling the impeller/compressor wheel can shear the shaft. Again the blowoff valve is their to everyone knows this thing is supercharger... marketing in action not just in sound but also in (incorrect) blurb for sales people to repeat 🔁

G'day Mr Chops. Super video as usual. It's not a pretty bike but what a monster. How the chassis can handle the power without twisting itself into knots is beyond me, and the transmission will be taking a hell of a hiding from the engine torque. Having said that. I would tuck her up and put her in hibernation for the winter.The wheels should be lined but with real paint, get a pro to do it.

@Fearless1544 жыл бұрын
I don't impressed with Hayabusa at all. My good friend got the first-gen Hayabusa and it is pretty slow compared to other superbikes. I own a 2017 tuono 1100rr and 2018 r1 and even the Tuono dominates the Hayabusa out of the line or 60mph pulls until the limiter kick in. And the moment r1 gets into 8k rpm it just flies away from the Hayabusa.
@FirearmsGunGear4 жыл бұрын
@@Fearless154 weird, my busa destroys everything other than my H2, handles well too
@Fearless1544 жыл бұрын
@@FirearmsGunGear You probably got used to the bike and its clutch and you know how to launch it very well. Between high-performance machines, the one who gets the good launch wins in general even if the bike is less powerful if it's not a long straight road. But generally speaking, Stock engine Hayabusa is not really competing with other superbikes as far as raw performance goes it produce less HP overall and have much more weight and a slower revving engine.
@FirearmsGunGear4 жыл бұрын
@@Fearless154 my 1290 superduke beat the busa low down, as you know v twins and v fours have better low end torque, my R1 was quick but busa faster and more stable, handling took getting used to at first tho
@Fearless1544 жыл бұрын
@@FirearmsGunGear That's very weird. I've done this race many times from either side and the moment r1 takes off you cannot catch it no matter what on Hayabusa especially the first-gen which more wild but much slower than the second-gen. Also, even yammienoob did this comparison with his first-gen Hayabusa with power commander 5 and his 2018 stock r1. Or even more serious racing street racing channels like outspokentiger. Only with turbo build, Hayabusa is a "fast" bike but stock it's pretty slow compared to modern superbikes. Also, it's a common misconception that v4 produce more torque down low it has nothing to do with engine layout but the overall engine design like compression ratio, tune and etc. For example, the street fighter v4 doesn't any low-end grunt and feels gutless compared to the Tuono or even s1000r or mt10 but it really shines from 9k rpm. Same with the bike like v4r up to the 12K rpm it doesn't have anything to offer and pretty all inline4 superbikes feel more grunty down low.

The tape looks ok - the green looks very Kawasaki - but I like the 'no tape' look more. The all dark look makes it look very "stealth", or it looks all business. I agree with you about the gauges. The analogue look is classy. I think people get gaw gaw over the TFT just because it's new and high techy. I think with the paint being either reflective or dull relative to light conditions the rim tape helps add a splash of colour! I raise your dog bed, I had some spare piping that had been in the beams for eleven years and it fell out one night: hit the bike on tank and left hand fairing. Then when it hit the floor it somehow managed to take out the side stand. £3k out of pocket... I’d been saving for some mods and ended up buying more OEM gear!!! Still at least my petrol tank wasn’t 2k - I’d have had a heart attack!

What a fantastic piece of engineering. I can't see where anyone can use that kind of power on the road though. It must be so challenging to resist giving it the beans.

My 2017 numbered Carbon has 20km on it, the ECU is not Mitsubishi but Bosch, 2017 the year they changed. The chirping is not the impeller breaking the sound barrier but the blow off valve working which gets a little quieter with km's. Yes lots of weight saving to be had, I fitted the 'Austin Racing' muffler which made a bit of a difference.
