You don't have to think it. It has been proven that the majority of these channels fake the dirt/rust on items they "find." I still find the cleaning process satisfying though so I enjoy watching them from time to time.

I could tell you "just buy a new bike if u don't want a bike with old pieces and old looks", but it's not really mature. Some people like when we can see the bike isn't new, some like you, prefer when it's look like brand new. There is not only ONE way to restore. it depend of the client/owner will that's all.

@ you also need to take into account what you restore. A moto chain has a life, if it gets rusted, you need to change it for safety reason. Not everything needs to be restored.

Agree and desagree at the same time , as long as the chain pass the tension test you good to clean , remove any rust and regrease … but is normally more expensive and can damage the bikes like the crowns getting eating by the chain shake

There are so many tips we could teach each other about doing restorations. I used Evaporust on the tank and chain of my 2004 Suzuki Katana 750 restoration project. The Evaporust didn't take the chrome finish off the chain, for example, and it didn't hurt the rubber o-rings in the chain either. Many harsh chemicals will damage them.

I find 2 eplanations. 1.Because there are so many people who never do anything but think they can do it better. Basically idiots, no need for further explanation on this one. 2.Some people are used to watch some other restoration channels where the guy work a lot (A LOT) better than this one. For example, I don't complain about his work, but it really bothers me so much that he didn't give the bike a proper washing before start dissasembling it... not even a quick rinse. So...
