Hi there, can you do a starter motor replacement vid. I cant get my starter motor off. I have taken of electrical wire and undid the two bolts but the motor will not pull out of the fly-wheel.??

I have one only has few hundred miles on it!! Guy barely road it kept in garage and I changed the oil and it smokes alittle bit! It sat for few years and I cleaned gas tank out and sprayed starter fluid in it and it fired right up!! Pretty much a new quad still it's a 98 400 auto !! I can't see motor needing redone??

My guess is you have a stuck ring. It might clear up after some riding. You might also consider some "ring free" fluid. Mix it with your fuel (sometimes oil instead) and it might help free up that ring. Thanks for watching. Let me know what you find out.

I have one of these wheelers and having a problem with lots of oil in the airbox I don't believe its coming from the intake but do believe its coming from the vent hose that comes out of the top of the engine that connects to the air breather any idea why it would be doing this? I just got this wheeler

I have a 1999 kawasaki pararie 400. put new cab on it. now want stay running. What do fuses by battery go to. It was wired to another battery. something shorted burnt the wire to other battery. You can see on side of 4 wheeler where it burnt. What would you suggest checking to help getting it running

What year model is it ? Just picked one up and the sticker is messed up. I can't see the year. I got the 300 prairie. When mine is in High gear it's makes a lot of knocking noises when you pull off or sounds like a tire scrubbing the fender but it's not. Slip it into Low and it fine no noises.

I'm working on a Kawasaki Prairie 300 2x4 for a fellow and I can't get it running I just put a brand new carburetor and brand new spark plug in it it's getting spark and is getting fuel I checked the timing it's in time I checked the valves there in Spec do you have an idea of what I should check

Thanks for making this video. I'm 20 and just took on my first real project, gonna year into my '97 Prairie 400 motor, previous owner said it started leaking oil and it's making a weird noise. How hard will this be to change the headgasket etc and maybe take the cylinder to shop and get it honed. (Maybe change the pistons rings too...never dont anything like this deep before)

Just get started. Bag and tag all parts and bolts. Keep a clean environment. Start with troubleshooting the issue, the leak and noise. Find a manual with part breakdowns. They can be found on the internet as a PDF fairly easily.

@@Sorentlow ended up just JB welding over the leak between the crankcase and cylinder (classic laziness for me) its been holding up since! If it ever starts leaking again ill tear it down

Hello good day, I have a kawasaki prairie 400 4x4 2000 quad. It has a problem, it breaks the oil filter league due to oil pressure. Replace the oil pump, add a relief valve on the side, and there's still that problem. I don't know what to do anymore, can someone help me?

You can fix that fuel sight glass by sanding it down a bit and spraying on some clear coat. Never hadn't worked for me.
