After stopping at the stone bridge over Little Crystal Creek yesterday I continued up the mountain and through the village of Paluma to the Lake Paluma road. It is a fantastic dirt road with plenty of twists, off-camber corners, hiking tracks, solitude (Monday to Friday) and of course Lake Paluma at the end for a swim if it's hot enough. The road is in great condition at the moment and there was no traffic at all. The National Park camping area at the end of the road is a spectacular spot to stop for a few days to do some great hikes. Camp sites are spacious with good fire pits and clean facilities not far from each of the two camping areas.
