interesting piece of equipment, i certainly had not seen a quick release one before, i went with the Givi backrest with rack, i chose it based on price and as it had the rack built in, but more because when you fit it the original plastic trim fits over the top in it's original place, leaving the bike looking original from the side, it also has cutouts on the uprights which i find really useful for attaching things to the rack with bungee straps, but i can certainly see why some folks might prefer a quick release system. keep up the good work.

I like this one quite a bit. It’s directly from Kawasaki for their bike. I think it looks pretty good. And having the metal brackets in place of the scuffed plastic I had from buckles rubbing it.. is definitely better for me lol. When I met up with Joshua, he had an aftermarket back rest and made the suggestion I get the OG from kawi. Glad I took his advice, but pricey for sure. It’s very sturdy. I wasn’t pleased with the fitment on the right side, sliding the locking bracket over the spool. Kawi did a lousy job making that spool the correct size. Nevertheless, it goes on, comes off, locks in place with key, and definitely sturdy.
