Sick ride...saw one upclose and personal at the 2010 bike expo! Even sat on her. Thanks to all the people at Burnaby Kawasaki! (My local dealer) Feels very light for a 1000, I bet it handles like a dream. The new powerplant is tuned for maximum mid range for city rides.Even the ridin' position was very comfortable. Kawasaki even placed 2 intake amplifiers, I havent heard it yet but I will be going to my local Kawi dealer in a few days to check her out some more! I bet she growls like a beast!

I bought a black one in 2010 and turned it to perfection with rear Öhlins shock, Öhlins steering damper, Rizoma tail tidy, rear led light, led blinkers, full akra exhaust, quick shifter, Power Commander tune, some discrete sliders… It was the best out there for sure. The only thing which was not perfect is that low beam = only one of the headlights ON, thus… during the day time I was just riding with high beam all the time… ))) Ohh, good times…

Huge difference between being able to run a 10 flat and having excellent balance and ride ability. 10 flat is fast yes, No disrespect, but the ergonomics and overall feel of the Z1000 cannot be found in older bikes. That "engineered feel" is very modern and comes with chassis design and packaging that has only been made available in recent years.

I had z1000 2008 and it was shitie bike. High price for 125bhp, bad top speed, some engine problems, big mufflers, etc. This one looks awesome. Hope to have at least 150 or more bhp, higher top speed. If so I will by it again.

underseat looks good..but its heavy. the best solution momentarily is shown by honda with the cbr 1000 or yamaha with the R6. i would like to see an oldschool vance&hines dragpipe sidewise on that z1000..straight and simple
