Love these Kawasaki bikes. They build these engines tough. I’ve never heard Kwaka 1000 engine that didn’t sound mean.

Glad you enjoyed and welcome to the channel! It’s hard to say, they are really different animals. If the z1000 had stock or quieter pipes I’d take it because of the smaller size, these ones are too much for me. The 14 is the faster motorcycle though and one of the comfiest I’ve ridden in a long time

Haven't had a chance to ride one of those yet! I've still got the 400, just have access to more bikes as of late and trying to plant the bum on as many as possible. It's a big bad world of motorcycles out there

That’s the downside of naked bikes as opposed to adventure bikes , long ride comfort . On a Transalp 750 you can still go fast , have fun in twisties within limitations of 21 inch front wheel and soft suspension, but you can ride it solid for eight hours with a few stops . No fatigue from bike .

Just curious about comfort for long rides? Also how does it handle potholes?

I got a 2018 same colour about 6 weeks ago. Rode an hour and a bit on the highway and not tiring at all. That was first ride home from dealer. Have had it out on back roads yesterday for a bit over an hour and fairly comfortable and one of those roads is rough. It’s firm and translates the big bumps through a bit hard. But but it handles very well similar to a super sports. It also is very quick. Not zx10 quick but not much slower. I have bad shoulders and this is perfect for me. It has less power then my 07 zx10 but it’s much more usable
