I had a Honda Grom 125 few years ago. I decided to do something crazy and take it for a road trip to go see my uncle. From Edmonton to Vancouver 1200km's one way. Through the mountains and all. I have 3 other bikes other than my 2022 z125 Pro. This includes a 1998 Honda Superhawk 996, a 1986 Yamaha, and a 1997 Suzuki. Oddly enough, my z125 pro is the one I ride most. Granted, I have a 6 mile commute to work on roads that only have a 45mph speed limit, so the Z is perfect. I extended the swing arm 4 inches and added an oil cooler. I put 2100 miles on the bike the first year and have zero issues with it. Granted it could use a 5 speed transmission as I’m constantly running at 8000 + rpm, but it’s a Kawasaki so I don’t worry.

Just came through to say I got a 2018 Pro SE during the, uh, "viral sales period" of 2020. Not only got it for a steal, but my credit card company had some special "Please spend money with us" offer so I ended up getting over 100$ cashback by charging it to the card and paying it off immediately (for those younger than me, just FYI, credit cards are NOT good for long term loans!). And I agree, as another guy in his 30s, I love running around town on it and doing stupid shit on it and beating on it, but also not feeling like the bike expects much more of me either. It turns every post office run into a chance for a msile, and instead of saying "I'll put it on the list" when I run out of like ketchup or something, it just becomes an opportunity for a quick ride down to the store. 9/10, recommend this bike to everyone, but just be wary of how slow it is and have confidence when you ride it.

I think you hit the nail on the head considering the purpose of the Z125 and the Honda Grom. They would be best suited for commuting in a mid-sized city where the speed limits are mostly 35 and 45 miles per hour. A beginning rider would shortly out-grow the capability of these machines if they are riding for recreation or travel. So, the Ninja 400 would serve a better purpose. A Grom or Z125 is far better suited for an experienced rider who needs something with better fuel economy and lower operating costs to supplement another vehicle, but not for recreation or traveling the country.

Just to clarify, this thing gets nowhere near 80-100 mpg. It gets that per tank, which is 2 gallons = 40+ mpg.
@InfamousInternetVillainJackSix3 жыл бұрын
You're incorrect. I've done the math many times. I typically ride this bike to and from my work place, which is exactly 30 miles round trip, and I can make that trip at least 4 times before needing to refuel. If you knew that for a fact, why would you be watching a review video of the bike? The only way you would know something like that from personal experience, is if you owned the same bike and had ridden it for at least 1000 miles. So, if that were the case, you wouldn't be watching a video made for people that are considering buying it. Which, I'm relatively certain you don't own one, because if you did, you wouldn't be making false claims about the mileage. If you do have one and it's only getting 40mpg? It's either brand new and not broken in yet, or there's something very bad wrong with the one you have.

You mean, like the trend of having a home phone? The earliest definition of the symbol is "Number Sign. or "Number Marker". It's been known as a Hash globally since the 1960's, and possibly even earlier in Europe, due to "€" being the literal "Pound Sign". Social Media and "Trendiness" had nothing to do with it being called a hashtag. It's been a part of every basic programming language, and has been referred to as either "Hash" or "Number" since it's inception. The reality is, you did let "trendies" change the name and then tried to play holier than thou by saying you don't do... literally what you actually did. Because Hash is correct, pound is not.
