That oil filtration is nice, good filter and a cap that aids in cooling. Grom should be taking notes.

How often do you change your oil
@mustafamufasa2 жыл бұрын
Bit of a noob question. Does the bike sit too low to get a drain pan underneath? I don’t have a lot of space so investing in a stand isn’t very practical for me right more.

did you put all the 1 Quart Royal Purple or just 800ml?

Man, this is a great video! I said that to multiple times while watching. 1st video I've watched for oil change and i feel completely safe with doing it myself now. Thank you!

I heard you say off road??? I just bought one and I'm noticing the clutch issue ... This video helped with some knowledge there. Keep the videos coming

Honestly if you have the rubber seal available just change it even if it isn’t broken. If you don’t have a new one you could reuse it but not for long. I know he’s said that in a future video. Make sure you Z is running the best seals and oil for the best performance

So you say that new o-ring went right in the channel? The new o-ring wasnt alittle bigger than the channel? To where you had to force that sucker in there and it wanted to pop out?
@InfamousInternetVillainJackSix6 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I mean, you have to sort of push it in there. But the old O-Ring wouldn't go back in no matter what I did.

I wouldn’t recommend it, get something that specifically is for bikes

Best chain cleaner is kerosene. Put some in a spray bottle, spray it on and use a chain cleaning brush to agitate it and wipe it away. Won’t leave the chain dry either. Best chain lube I have ever used is Chain Wax. Comes in a black and gold can. Doesn’t fling, isn’t super messy either.

Any problem yet using the RP oil? my Z125 starting to slipped using RP. I went and switched to AMSOIL wow wow!
@InfamousInternetVillainJackSix5 жыл бұрын
Nope. Been using it for 3 years on 2 bikes without a single issue. If your clutch is slipping, it's probably either your clutch is worn out, or you need new clutch springs.
@iMotoTactic00L5 жыл бұрын
#notagrom nope after I switched to Amsoil the slipping clutch completely gone idk why, it shifts smoother too.

My dealership sells those o-rings for $4.69 each. I've noticed that Amazon just generally isn't a great option for buying OEM parts.
@InfamousInternetVillainJackSix6 жыл бұрын
I actually found a source for them, but haven't tested them on the bike yet. Once I do that, I'm going to sell them 5 for $15 shipped. Also going to do package deals with oil filters for less than you can get them anywhere else, also. :)
@friend45456 жыл бұрын
5 for $15 shipped? That's a pretty great deal. I'm looking into getting one of these bikes soon, so I'll definitely keep that in mind.

What size washer for the drain plug?
@ammar1456 жыл бұрын
Nice video dude! But, can you make a detailed video on how to adjust ur chain? At 600 miles on my z, it will be the first time ever working on anything. Everything seems easy enough to do but the adjusting the chain part gives me a little anxiety. Also, where did you get the magnetic drain plug? Do I have to get a specific size of drain plug or is it one size fits all type of thing? Also, did you tighten everything at the recommended torque? Not sure if you mentioned all of this in the video, that's why I'm asking. Thanks for the video tho!
@InfamousInternetVillainJackSix6 жыл бұрын
If you look at my channel from last season, I have a chain adjustment video, which is why I didn't go into too much detail on this one about the chain. I got my drain plug on eBay. Just search for "M12x1.5 Magnetic Drain Plug". I don't use a torque wrench on anything unless it's internal engine/drivetrain related. Just snug them up with a little "bump and umph".

How important is the black spacer on the lower cowl?
@InfamousInternetVillainJackSix6 жыл бұрын
Not super important. They just line up how the cowl mounts to the bike. You could replace it with a handful of small washers if you lost yours or something.

That's exactly why I said "Not even a grom owner would know this". The Kawasaki oil system is far superior to the Grom. You may not need a filter, but we don't need to mod our oil system to wheelie. :P

Plz change the intro to your videos, that music is terrible, thanks. Good video overall though
@InfamousInternetVillainJackSix6 жыл бұрын
Pretty difficult to find free music that's fitting for intros and outros. I'm hoping that once I get over 1K subs, I can find someone that is willing to let me use their music, or possibly have something custom made. Until then though, I'm stuck with what's freely available to me. Trust me when I say I went through 100+ songs when I picked those, which I considered "the least bad" out of all of them. Lol

This bike take 1.5 quart. I just had a service at kawasaki dealer.
@InfamousInternetVillainJackSix6 жыл бұрын
No sir, they don't. If your dealer put 1.5qt in your bike, you are about to have a world of problems. There's a guy in one of the Z125 Facebook groups that had a dealer put 1.5qt in and now every seal on his bike is busted and leaking oil everywhere. They are going to have to tear the engine down completely to repair all of the damage. If you doubt me, look at your Kawasaki owner's manual.
@ModDangFc6 жыл бұрын
I don't see any problem with my bike and it run just like new.
@davidsitter37186 жыл бұрын
The manual says .8 quart if you dont change the filter and 1.0 quart if you do change it. If they put 1.5 quarts in it. Your bike is under way to much pressure. Or they charged you for more to squeeze some extra cash out of you.
