Nice review mate. I’ve had one for nearly 2 years now, it’s my first big bike. Commute a 30 mile round trip on it everyday and it’s never missed a bit. Great for filtering too. Have to agree though, being the same height as you it can get uncomfortable. I can’t ride mine more than about an hour and a half without a quick stop off to stretch my legs.

I don't know if you have any cycling experience. My question is, do you think a competitor at cycling could be able to learn to maneuver a bike like the one you are reviewing here, fairly fast? I am thinking about using knee pucks in the corners and feel safe faster then a "normal person"?
@noskillsonwheels92986 жыл бұрын
cycling and riding a motorbike are very different. its a really good bike, stable at high speeds gave confidence in corners but the turn circle isn't too great but it depends what you wanting exactly . if you don't have much experience with motorbikes I would suggest testing a few because how people ride is different.

Hi, I just subscribed. I would like to know how much is your inseam? I am 186cm and 84cm inseam. I wonder if this bike would fit me. How tall is your brother? You may ask him if there is any difference for him with or without the screen. Thanks man.
@noskillsonwheels92984 жыл бұрын
hi sorry about the late reply, my inseam is slightly longer than yours but im slightly taller. my brother is around 6ft so similar height, the screen makes a slight difference it more moves where the wind hits. you can buy bigger screen which would make more of a difference. I found the bike quite a good size much more comfortable than the z1000, could do with more padding on the seat if your using for long journeys.best advice would be sitting and maybe doing a short ride on one as you might be more flexible or built differently to me. either way is a solid bike.hope this helps let me know if you have anymore questions. thanks for subscribing!

hi sorry for the late reply. quads only teach throttle really and not the full control. you can start riding any bike really but id start on a bike that isn't as sporty and rigid plus the throttle is super sensitive. its easier on a lower power bike but aslong as your careful and get use to the weight you should be fine. let me know what you get. any questions feel free to ask!

noskillsonwheels Kawasaki Z1000. Very sensitive throttle and it has a lot of power. Turning at low speeds and U turns are a bit scary/tricky (especially if you’re wearing shorts ha!). It’s the heaviest bike I ever rode and that’s why I find it hard turning at low speeds. I’m still trying to find the tipping point/how far I can lean but I don’t want fall and damage the bike.

Would you recommend this as a beginners bike? I have riden scooters before but want to go to the gears for longer rides. I'm not too keen with gears
@noskillsonwheels92986 жыл бұрын
its quite aggressive compared to a scooter, I would suggest a test ride first to make sure its comfortable for you and the throttle is quite sensitive so may not be ideal for a new rider. its still a very good bike but if your not keen on gears might be worth considering something more forgiving. any more questions feel free to ask!
@selecta1floyd6 жыл бұрын
NoSkillsOnWheels I know about the throttle response it is high, I have got rides on it as a pinion rider. Im not a fast rider though like taking my time. With the gear bike I only have problem getting to move out but once I'm going I change the gears
@noskillsonwheels92986 жыл бұрын
tbh this bike is definitely angled towards faster riding which makes it feel quite rigid. There are plenty of amazing bike to start on anyway so even if the z750 doesn't work for you, you have plenty of options. its still a great bike but if I didn't want to ride fast I would look for maybe a sports tourer so you get extra comfort.

No. Why do people keep asking this question? Do not get a 490 lb, 100 hp motorcycle for your first one. Stay under 450 lbs. And make sure you can plant most of your feet on the ground. :)

I've got the Honda Hornet 919 which is a lot of fun, but I really want one of these z750's how do they compare, I'm shorter about 5' 8" 31" inseam about 75 kg
@noskillsonwheels92986 жыл бұрын
hi, the seat height will be taller and the weight is about 25lb heavier dry. top speed is similar but the z750 gets better miles to the gallon. it really depends what you plan to use it for. the z750 is more sporty you'll sat more aggressively so may get uncomfortable. the age is the main difference the z750 is a well planned machine which is fun to ride but maybe not commute on, the hornet has character and in my opinion is more simple and a good daily ride. I would suggest sitting/riding on a z750 make sure the weight and height is fine for you because until you ride/sit on one you will keep wondering. hope hat helped. if you have any specific things I didn't answers then feel free to ask.

@@noskillsonwheels9298 Cheers for the reply, much appreciated, I am also considering the lighter 2007 Honda Hornet 600, the 2007 model gets the 600RR engine tuned down a bit, I must admit i find the Hornet 919 a bit intimidating in traffic at low speeds, it does feel quite heavy, the Hornet 600 is considerably lighter but less torque.
@noskillsonwheels92986 жыл бұрын
im always happy to reply. although I enjoy riding large engine bikes i've always found riding 600cc more fun, sometimes going smaller is the best thing to do. larger bikes are great for nice weather days when you can open it up and enjoy it but for everyday riding I find them more frustrating. I don't want to change your mind on any bikes only you can decide what you need also as your enjoying riding that's the main thing in my book.

@@germanshepherdlover2613 I dont know if you made a dicision yet, I mean its been 8 months. But my Honda Hornet 600 is in the shop (rev counter stopped working) and i got a Z750 as a temporary replacement. Now, my honda is a bit lazy at low revs. Get it up to 3000 and you suddenly get a kick. The Z750 doesnt do this, it wants to go right away. Helps a little because its more predictable. Its engine is brilliant, the clutch is excellent and the weight... i didnt notice the difference after 30 minutes. But the seat is CRAP compared to my Hornet. Honestly my ass hurt after an hour of driving. Its my only complaint. The brakes on mine are a bit faded but that can all be adjusted.

So buying this as my first bike (with almost 0 riding experience except few hours on dirt bikes) would be madness/suicide ?
@noskillsonwheels92985 жыл бұрын
if your in the UK then you'll do some training and stuff first so you wouldn't be completely new. I know someone who's first bike was the z1000 and they were fine. I think it depends on the person and how you ride it. if you jump on it and straight away try to get your knee down in corners then you will probably wreck your bike, if your slightly more sensible then anyone can learn to ride any bike, there are a lot easier bikes to learn on but if you take your time and don't go too fast for what you can handle. maybe get some crash bungs/ bars so if you do take a slow fall you don't ruin your paint. if your not in the UK then I would suggest taking it to a car park or something and just practicing for abit to build up confidence. anymore questions feel free

Is there enough leg room for 6.3ft rider? I find the Hornet on the cramped side? And, in general, would the bike make a good commuter despite its aggressive character? Thanks
@noskillsonwheels92985 жыл бұрын
hi, im 6ft 4 and I don't think its too bad. The seat size is quite small as its got a separate pillion seat so my arse would end up in that gap sometimes. found it more comfortable than the z1000 that's for sure. best thing is to test ride or at least sit on one because you might have longer/shorter legs than me. For commuting I think its pretty good the range isn't to bad, its small/ agile enough to filter if needed. Personally if I had to commute more than 40mins to an hour on it everyday in one go then my legs might get numb and in feel it in my wrist but that's me personally. hope this helps. if you have anymore questions feel free. it really depends on the person. its basically a naked sports bike which means its turning is stiff, the turning circle isn't great, its quite a heavy bike as well and the throttle is overly sensitive. I always say its based on the rider and not the bike. personally i'm glad I didn't start on it myself because my throttle control used to be terrible and its got a very sensitive one. hope this helps in some way. thanks for watching. anymore questions feel free

100% beginner bikes are up to 125ccm. Since then it depends on the brains and strength of the person and I would highly not recommend going higher than 600/650. Even that is a fully grown motorcycle that needs some practice to ride it. There is a good reason why europe has these A1 and A2 licenses before you get on an unlimited bike.
