Never give a $#!% what folks think. You bought the best bike and your style is meant for you & not for anyone else. I love your bike & I hope that you enjoy it to the fullest while staying safe. My first bike was at 3 years old. It was a Honda trail 50, followed by a trail 70, then a Yamaha 50, a Suzuki JR50, Then a Honda XR80. That was the last of my kid bikes at age 10. Since then I had a Honda CB400, A Kaw LTD 440, 3 different Kawasaki KZ 650's one being an SR version. I then went into the Ninja mode getting 2 Ninja 600R's, And I currently have a Ninja ZXR. I'm hoping to get a Z900RS soon. Enjoy your bike, we all love it!

How could I put a fairing on the fastest/quickest bike of the day. Another great vlog, it’s your bike brother so you build it how you like. I like what you’ve done with it, funnily enough I’ve stripped my luggage rack off totally as I don’t tour and wanted to get the aesthetics back on mine. Agree with the pitting on the exhaust, after nearly binning mine on unmarked gravel road works the headers have never looked quite the same and I spend a lot of time keeping mine spotless. First bike gt80 age 11, first registered bike ‘80 Ducati 600 pantah aged 15. Thanks again.

I went the other direction with mine. Lower Rizoma bar, K-Tech Razor shock, thicker fork oil, much better tires(Pilot Road 5's), decat, removed the exhaust "box" under the bike, K&N air filter, ECU flash and dyno tune.... When I want to tour, I toss a bag on the back and bungee it in place... I can ride it all day long... have done 350 miles in a day, riding up to The Dragon and back, and was comfortable... And with the suspension and tires, it carves corners like a sportbike... Good video. I have tons of them as well, if you are interested.

Dude, your bike is awesome. I used to tour 2 up on my '03 Night Train with far more weight than what you have and it was fine. I have it set up the same way - quick detach saddlebags, top box and windshield. My new '19 Z900RS is going to get the same treatment, using the exact same luggage as you have. Why buy a huge touring bike when you can get the best of both worlds? Pay no attention to those criticizing you, they don't know what they are talking about. My first bike was a 1983 Honda CM450E that I bought in 1987 when I was 15. I rode it illegally without a license for a year but I was already 6'2" 185lbs and had a beard so no-one even looked twice at me. Sold it in 1989 and bought a 1982 Honda CB900 Custom, huge difference.

My first bike is green Z900RS Cafe, got it a year ago at 37 y.o., love it! Not polishing it and not even washing it that often. I also like touring and have soft side bags. Installed heavy duty crash bars a while ago, so glad that I did. Crashed a couple of months ago, the rear tire slipped while cornering. The bike lowsided, slided along the road, met dirt on the side of the road and flipped. Mirrors snapped off, the handlebar weight scratched, one soft side bag teared, but other than that everything looks fine, apart of that it's not even scratched. Highly recommend to use protection ^^

Nice bike ! I enjoy your videos. Don't worry about the weight on the bike, it's designed to carry a passenger also so you're good for a lot more than 60 lbs. I bought a 2019 Z900RS Cafe last August and have only managed about 4000 kms on it so far. It's winter now in Canada and the plan is to take it on a week long tour over Lake Superior this summer. Heated grips are in the plan but I was about to order OEM Kawasaki grips. I didn't know Oxford made them. I'll have to look into that. I like the idea of the Kawi ones as they will plug directly into the wiring harness under the tank. I also have a heated vest that I've used a long time, it's great. Next purchase will likely be a Givi top case as I already have good quality soft saddle bags. My first bike at age 22 was a brand new Yamaha FZ600. Since then I've had a '93 ZX11, '94 ZX9R, and a 2000 RC51. All were brand new. I still have the RC, I will never part with it ! Keep up the good work.

Great video and reasons for purchasing that bike. My first bike was a 1983 Honda CB550 Nighthawk at 28 years old. Loved that bike, but it was 23 years old and I wanted a new bike. Purchased a 2007 FZ6 new and it's still my primary bike 48k miles later. Been looking for my next bike, but few stand out as worthy replacements at this time and would like to get in a little better position before purchasing a new bike. I tend to keep my bikes for a long time and want a premium bike for the next one. Leaning toward a BMW RnineT or something similar at the moment. It's the only bike I've ridden so far and thought could be a suitable replacement. I will still try to keep the FZ6 since I won't be able to get as much value out of it as pleasure of keeping it.

Mudguards or the lack of on modern bikes really annoys me, I live in the UK, it rains lots, it's not rocket science... grr lol. Black indelible marker pen may mask the dings in your radiator a bit (will probably look deep purple in strong sun). I don't know of anyone that has had fender defenders painted up, interesting idea. Top boxes/luggage are a necessary evil, very handy just for security chains etc over here... Traction control is fantastic these days and as I don't enjoy bouncing down the road I wouldn't run without it given the option... That screen may turn into a windsock given a strong sidewind, I look forward to your experience. 👍🖖 P.S Honda CB125T 1977 spec in 1989 it was a complete wreck, I was 20, though I got my full test passed so it did its job.

Your bike, your choices. You can have something to pose with at the coffee stop or you can have a bike to use it for whatever you want to do. With that Shad luggage you can have both. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" and for those who think luggage and racks are ugly or spoil the look that's ok, it's their opinion, but who are they that you should be concerned at what they think? They probably don't have bikes and never go camping. I am a UK resident and one of my bikes is a Z900RS the same as yours. Yes I agree Kawasaki should have fitted, or at least offered, larger mudguards ( fenders). I fitted extenders to front and rear and SW-Motech engine crash bars.

@@kentuckyyankee I've had about 3. The last on was a broken ankle bone. One was a high side that injured my shoulder. All were my fault and didn't involve another vehicle.
can you get just the side boxes with that or is the top box included?, id like just the saddlebags or even just one bag
@kentuckyyankee3 жыл бұрын
Yes you can get just the side boxes, they also have a bigger set but they open from the side

@@kentuckyyankee I have a 2012 Vulcan 900. Interesting fact that bike pulled me out of the Harley Davidson hole. I'm a very old Kawasaki fan, I'm a fan of team green. I have no intentions of getting rid of my Vulcan 900 I just want to pick up something a little bit more sporty.

First bike was a 1979 or 80 Yamaha RD400 when i was 18 but it wasn't the bike for me, traded it for an 84 virago 500 right away and rode that 3 years.

Buy and ride what you want. Who gives a rats ass what anyone else thinks. I've loved the look of these bikes ever since they came out with them. In fact, out of all the retro looking bikes that have come out over the past few years, this one is my fav. Ride and be safe out there.

Having a 73 Z1.....my choice would have been orange and brown. Having said that, the green looks sharp. Good buy. My first bike, other than dirt bikes was a 1969 Triumph Bonnevile. I was 18. Four years later I had my butt handed too me by a Z1. The next day I traded it it on a new Z.
