Great video and good to see the Z H2 up there and getting the feedback it deserves. It certainly isn't the the most competitive neither does it have the best brakes or suspension but man does it make you feel good and put a massive smile on your face. I'll be doing the full review on the Z H2 2021 in the coming weeks, then have some mods to add such as the Scorpion can and Sprint filter (doing videos for those too). Will be an excellent comparison to the nakeds I have already done videos for.

It would be a cool project to graft the front fairing and screen from a 2021 ZX-10R onto the Z H2, to give the rider better airflow and more downforce at higher speeds. That stock Z H2 front end looks a bit wimpy anyway, too much like a scooter.

straps. lowered. 4 inch swing arm extension. also a steering dampener would be a great add on. these are all supporting mods. because the beauty of this bike is that it has a LOT more in the tank. its so restricted from the factory that it only makes about 170 wheel. however, couple of youtube channels like moore mafia and brocks performance have dyno tuned this bike and completely removed the stock limitations. with a full exhaust and air filter this bike goes from an eye blurring 170 wheel horsepower to an absolutely arm ripping 230+ wheel horsepower. which means this bike is capable of making almost 300 crank horsepower with relatively minor modifications. which makes sense when you remember its lineage and that its descendant from the H2R. i dont think ive seen any other modern bike in its class be able to add that much power so easily. most of these bikes from the factory your be luck to get an extra 15 or 20 hp increase with the same modifications. that super charger really is a game changer as far as sheer potential for power.

Great shout. Having ridden both would say that the ZH2 engine is probably the most crazy engine Ive ever ridden and so fast, but it doesn't have the chassis components to match making it difficult to get the power down and is honestly a bit scary. The Streetfighter V4s however is a different story and can be ridden full throttle with good stability. Thanks, Aaron KNOX

From a 40-50 mph roll on in second gear, this motorcycle is one to be respected as it easily accelerates with much authority! I never experienced ANY head shake or twitchy handlebars at any speed. I've ridden it on back roads, major highways (motorways), and even raced it at an official 1/4 mile drag strip. No shake even up to an indicated 171 mph. There are plenty of faster and quicker bikes out there but this naked needs not feel slighted. Stock it isn't nearly as quick as I expected from a dead stop in the 1/4 mile. It's short wheelbase, high center of gravity and TOO low gearing make it very difficult to leave the line smoothly and with the front wheel down where it should be. And even though it has 101 ft lbs of torque, that torque isn't low enough in the power band to help either. It's a fun bike for sure, I've put 1742 miles on mine. It just isn't set up as a bike capable of performing well enough to even come close to sportbikes on top speed or at a drag strip . I'd rate this bike a 7 out of 10 at best and is closer to being worth no more than $12,500 USD , certainly not the $17,000 I paid for mine or the $17,500 Kawasaki is asking for the 2021 model.
@M4rkmcc213 жыл бұрын
Zh2 is kinda in its own ball park. Its the only supernaked that's supercharged. Its far cheaper than the SX and H2 but offers SC performance and smooth power unlike chompy Italians or lesser powered Japanese alternatives. For my £15k for 200bhp is an bargain. If u want add a £400 upgraded shock, some braided lines, remove the heavy stock can and it'll fix what most complain about. Add in a ecu fix and this thing will leave any NA bike behind 20 - 100mph which is where ppl who ride these types of bikes play around.
@jfro58673 жыл бұрын
Hi Steve, as an owner your opinion matters. I wondered about the gearing being short, you confirm it to be the case. It’s true many cars outperform bikes nowadays and it’s just how it is. It does look like a great bike though. Must have a go on one one day.
@stevesmith62363 жыл бұрын
@@jfro5867 Seems Kawasaki geared the ZH2 with 2 more teeth on the rear sprocket compared to the sport touring versions(H2 SX & H2SXSE).With much less weight than the SX versions, I don't understand why Kaw thought gearing the ZH2 was necessary. As with ANY land based vehicle, if you can't put the power to the ground optimally, you might need to re-gear it.

Motorcycles are limited to how quickly they accelerate from a dead stop since they wheelie. My old Concours 1400 that weighed 700 lbs with 160 hp could do 0 to 60 in under 3 seconds because the weight held the front end down.

So much power... back in the 80"s motorcycles always outrun a car , but these days .... new Lotus Evija goes 0-125 mph in yes in 5 sec... 0-186 in 9 sec , what happened did evolution of motorcycles stalled ? I know only 1 wheel to put the power on etc , but with today electronics I thought we would stand much farther .. if motorcycles would have evolved like cars did , I think the H2R power would be normal for a superbike or supernaked , no ?
@WoZIMoo3 жыл бұрын
Don't understand it either... All those fancy electronics and stupid power to get to 60 in 3.3 seconds and a quarter mile around 10 seconds. Don't understand these modern hyper powered bikes that can't even get the power down. They made sport touring bike 20-25 years ago that got similar performance without the sketchiness and impracticality of these bikes. My 20 year old Triumph Sprint 955 gets to 60 in around 3.5 seconds with and does the 1/4 in about 11 seconds. It stays planted to the ground the whole time without rising and twitching like a leaf during the process. Gets over 45mpg without trying and the Kawa probably gets 25 if you're lucky. (Owned an early Z1000 and hardly got 30mpg when gentle)
@TheHkluivert3 жыл бұрын
Phil3555 what a coincidence; I just bought a RS955i yesterday and while reading and watching this clip, I thought “huh? My 20 year old Triumph is said to do 0-60 mph in 3,3 seconds”...
@allwheeldrive3 жыл бұрын
Too much power to launch cleanly unless you "draggify" it, with a longer swing arm, slicks, a born-to-drag rider, etc., etc. A Top Fuel drag bike will do well under 6 seconds in the quarter. And, those super cars are embracing 4WD for exactly the same reason: traction and off-line control. the $3M Bugatti Chiron isn't the quickest, either, but it'll do 300mph, a whole whack faster than all but a couple of production cars. Keep in mind, too, the Kaw is downright cheap in comparison to anything with wheels that'll keep up.
@KnoxArmour3 жыл бұрын
Yes agree to an extent, however, the major limiting factor to a motorcycle would be the amount of rubber on the road, plus the fact it they just wheelie if there is too much power without longer swingarms etc. Plus you have to remember that to get that kind of performance for a car, you are into mega£££.. my k8 gsxr750 is pretty much as quick as the ZH2, but will outrun a £270k Lamborghini Aventador. Thanks Aaron KNOX
@negenelf1233 жыл бұрын
