Nice one, guys! Back in 1981 I bought a new Z750L1 and it was a very nice bike. As you found on your little ride, over about 4,500 rpm the engine starts to breath properly and acceleration really picks up as the motor smooths out. These days, as a 77-yo, I get around the suburbs on a little 2011 Suzuki VL250 Intruder; its 143kg dry-weight makes it very easy for me to push around the garage.

Hi Chris, thanks for the comment. I (the Cameraman/Editor/Comments) had a GPZ750A1 back in the day. I've had plenty of Kawasakis and always loved them. The Zephyr is mine but a little more than I need, so will move it on. We're currently working on my Virago 550, which may be a little more relaxing, so I'm heading in the same direction as you, with your Intruder.

I’d love to find some engine bars shown on yours for my 94 750. Hard to find.

Yes, I can imagine. I so wish I didn't sell it :-(

Woould it make a good first bike?

Hi James. I do not see why not. It's not crazy fast and un-manageable. I guess the sensible answer is to get something smaller, for a while. It is quite heavy and I think that would be the thing to get used to. It's a long time since I had a first bike...
