Engines on carbs were always calm and smooth and I still prefer that period.

Yes this engine has 2 spark plugs per cylinder and probably a heavy flywheel so it’s extra smooth.

I own same bike but with spoke wheels and trimmed the way it looks like a Kawasaki 900 or 1000 from the 70ties. Probably best looking bike and Zephyrs are not outdated but of course no match for todays high tech bikes. But the question is do you really need it, can you safely use this power and speed on the road? You will find a video in YT by searching for MC bikes.

Sold my ZRX and got a ZZR1200 I miss Rex wish I kept it I miss the riding position and five speed box. Bandit 1200 or one of these Zephyr's for me next for sure

The Zephyr must have a shorter wheelbase than the ZZR1200 because it feels lighter and more nimble on twisting roads, Bandit 1200 would also be a great choice if you can find a decent one

So if you could only have one bike, which would it be, the TDM or the Zephyr 🤔

I have a bandit 1200s k6 model and I would tell any accomplished rider to get one or at least try one. The bike is so smooth and comfortable not to mention easy to ride. It will sit at 30mph at 2000 revs with no complaints yet pulls like a train if you decide you want to get on the gas. I can't comment on the zephyr but I hope to ride one soon.

I have a modified Zephyr 750, noticed over the last few years parts are not as plentiful.
