You shouldn’t have to justify yourself, if you want to make the bike lighter for the track no matter what level you’re going in at you make it lighter, if you want to change the gearing ratio you do that too! As long as you ride your bike with a smile on your face that’s what’s matter👍🏻

hey bro that sprocket will cause a lot of issues, try to run your bike on the spools stand and watch you rear sprocket, it will wooble. the Driven sprocket has not the same space from the engine as the stock one, believe me, i had a lot of problems. the inner side of the front sprocket will rub against the chain as it is closer to the engine than before. go for vortex. the measure that you used is not correct, look the the video closely. at high speed you will feel some vibrations also from the back end of the bike
@jjmax20073 жыл бұрын
Oh wow I was hearing a clicking noise a slow speeds thought it was coming from the rear when I had the stock sprocket and ur the 4th person to tell me be careful with the driven front sprocket hmmmmmm interesting good thing I saved my OEM parts Vortex here I come thanks for the heads up I plan to change over before the next track day better yet this weekend Cheers

You change the bike?
@jjmax20073 жыл бұрын
What u mean?‽?,
@SquireSCA2 жыл бұрын
Going to a 40T on the rear, is gonna make for less acceleration, and might also lower your top speed, because a 600 doesn't have the HP to push through the wind at higher speeds... Realistically, the best you are gonna get is maybe low to mid 150s... To be honest, the stock gearing was pretty optimal for that bike. Give you an honest 150mph and good acceleration...
@jjmax20072 жыл бұрын
Oh nice thanks for the heads up I didn't know this Cheers
@SquireSCA2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, 600's just don't have the power to hit high top speeds. A properly set up and tuned R6 might break 160 on a good day, if that. I am talking actual speed, not the 8% high that most speedos read from the factory... More error, if its an older bike and you did a sprocket swap... Going to a 40T sprocket will make it slower in the end, because you lose acceleration, and your motor will be less efficient at higher speeds where the wind is really pushing you back... At some point, some noob on a 600 will come in claiming his GSX-R600 does 170+. It doesn't. Guys that make those claims are inexperienced riders that don't know how this works. Their speed is off by 15% but they don't want to admit that and "lose face" to their friends... haha The Kawi is geared perfectly from the factory. I would use that.
