My favorite pocket pen is the kaweco liliput .it's just wonderful .
@robmc1205 жыл бұрын
i haven't tried the sport yet, but my range of options kinda puts me in "analysis paralysis". I'd love to do my first eyedropper pen in the ICE sport, but the frosted sport prolly looks great too eyedroppered. The AC sport looks so classy in orange/carbon fiber, cooler than the rest do, but cant be eyedropped. Then there's nib options aplenty i feel i'd like to try, but i don't have enough money to collect all of them! All this being said, I love my travelers pen in brass, fits right in my Retro 51 notebook wallet. God bless you Jetpens and your great video/tactics at making me spend money!( i mean that in a nice way)
@Orochi_0015 жыл бұрын
I’ve almost bought a tumbled Al Sport several times, but the internet says the nibs write dry and are of inconsistent quality. Do you check nib spacing and alignment when shipping?
@osirisgolad5 жыл бұрын
That is exactly how I use mine; it is always in a pocket or bag, with a fine nib and filled with a low-bleed fast drying ink so I can use it to write on even the worst quality paper. Compact, reliable and virtually indestructible. Not my most luxurious, but arguably my most important pen.
@TheWadge4 жыл бұрын
Hi there, which inks do you recommend for this purpose? A lot of the inks I saw which could write on poor paper were long drying.

I bought an AL Sport in stonewashed blue a little over four years ago from Jet Pens. Still love it. For some time now, I've yearned for their Brass version, but my wallet keeps saying no. It's a tough battle that, I'm sure, I will eventually win through. Thanks JP!

Yesss my favorite! They write super nicely, and in general not too wet, the extra fine is super nice to use and they fit my small hands perfectly, I might have seven by now, and I do use them everyday as my main writing pens!
@MrSwaggernaut834 жыл бұрын
Exactttly, I love mine (hehe the Brass one) bc it writes dry enough that my super wet inks like J Herbin 1670 don't bleed through middle-grade paper. I can't manage to use Emerald of Chivor with any of the other pens I own

I carried one for years, and then it cracked in the threaded section. It still works, the cap just comes loose as a result. The black looks great with the optional clip. The tip still writes very well and is one of my smoothest fountain pens. Highly recommended for the money if you are still using a fountain.
@korax675 жыл бұрын
I have two classic sports, a red and a black . They are both amazingly good. I don't like the feel of aluminium of the AL series and it makes an awful sound when you screw the cap, but I'd love a Steel or Brass Sport. (too expensive though at €100.... )

I held off on the Kaweco Sport for a couple years because I prefer cartridge converters, but eventually I purchased a Kaweco Skyline Sport in soft mint, and boy, am I glad I did! It's the one pen that goes out and about with me. It's small enough to tuck into my pocket with my pocket notebook, but it's so comfortable to write with when posted. I'm a big fan of these pens!

I've never used a Sport before, despite being a bit of a fountain pen enthusiast and having been familiar with the line for a little while. Also it seems weird hearing the "AL Sport" being pronounced with the letters spelled out. I always heard it pronounced more like "All-sport". This is the first I've heard of the other metals though, such as Brass and Steel. Might have to add one (or more?) to my collection!

I have the Ice The EF write very wet, so you get a medium line Not having a converter is a very serious drawback to the whole series Don’t want to use cartridges I eye dropper the two Ice that I have But as they are so small the ink container warms up from your hand and the wet flow of the nib become even wetter I would only recommend this pen if you use cartridges, like wet nibs and don’t want a very line
@janeh45255 жыл бұрын
Wait but they showed a converter in the video, doesn't that work with all the pens? I'd imagine that instead of resorting to eyedropper pens you could use the converters, no?

I got the classic one. It's almost too small if you don't post it. If I get another one, I'm definitely gonna get one with a little more weight to it. I don't mind the light plastic, but fountain pens feel nicer when they're noticeably heavier than disposable pens.
@archangeli5 жыл бұрын
I just bought my second Kaweco Sport gel pen from JetPens! :) I love how small it is but that it is a full sized pen when opened. I absolutely hated the gel ink insert it came with and replaced it right away. The Sarasa JLV ("dry") fits but needs trim and a spring to adjust the fit. I just tried the Pilot G2 refills and they fit without need of a spring (but the insert still needs a trim to shorten it).
@rkenw9965 жыл бұрын
Archangeli i have the burgundy Sport rollerball. Like you i got rid of the gel cartridge, but replaced it with Parker QuinkFlow fine & medium ballpoint refills i alternate according to preference - also use a Sport fountain pen in clear plastic to keep tabs on the ink level.

I just checked on the website. Do the roller pens only come in 0.7 size? I usually like to buy 0.5 or 0.3 sized pens. The ball points are even worse at 1.0 size only. 😑
@JetPens5 жыл бұрын
Yes, the rollerball and ballpoint pens are available in limited tip sizes. However, they use very accessible refills (Parker style and D1 respectively) so it's easy to switch them out with a tip size you prefer! If you go to a product page and click the "Recommended Refills/Parts" link, you can find all the compatible refills for each pen.
