With the people who are in charge of voting who’s the MVP of the season, i doubt they will see Kawhi as the MVP of the league because it’s so swayed towards offense now. They don’t consider efficiency and overall team performance. Honestly it’s hard to watch the NBA has become. Great players but sad to see how weak and soft officiating has become.

What really makes me root for them is that Harden and Westbrook are finally back together and it would not only make Kawhi a legend to win with a 3rd different team but seeing the 2 boys who started together win together without KD would just be poetic. Especially when people compare Kawhi and KD, to have them both been with Harden and WB, the latter 2 not even in their primes anymore. KD has proven that he cannot drive a bus, Kawhi is proving the opposite.

Kawhi is playing with 2 all star caliber players who can average 25+ if they were playing on their own. They got Russ, Norm, Zubacs too. It’s a really well constructed team. I don’t even know how they have the money to have all these players. I love Kawhi he won us a championship in Toronto but let’s not act like this team is stacked.

Honestly though, can you list some arguments for KD in the all-time debate - if Kawhi gets an MVP? Cause I have no problem naming some for Kawhi, like: fmvp without superteam, 7 all-defense / DPOY vs none, winningest player, and - brace for this one - he missed way less games in his 13 years carreer than KD did in his first 13 years.

It's ridiculous how Richard Jefferson does not want to give Kawhi credit by putting him ahead of KD. Like, why? Why do people give Larry Bird a pass for having a short-ass career and at the same time Kawhi gets points deducted for being inconsistent due to health? Do people get mad that we never got peak, healthy LeBron, Kawhi, KD, Steph and Harden at the same time being championship contenders on separate teams? Yall like to just critique while knowing nothing. He is no longer injured. In 2021 he tore his ACL, and missed the 2022 season. In 2023, he played on restriction - mind you, other players came back that year from ACL injury that happened well before Kawhi's. So if anything, he came back earlier than usual. And he got injured in the playoffs. Now he's completely healthy, not that he can "suddenly" play for no reason.
