Good work riding the wave backs on the way in. Only saw one guy with a life vest on??? When crossing a bar its the captains responsibility to keep every one safe. You hit the bottom on the bar, your all in the water. Next time boys.

Everyone had life jackets on,just noticed old mate just had a black tee over the top which isn’t ideal 🤦♂️ I’ve Never hit the bar there 1m+ on the sounder whole time. Thanks though 👍👍

@@marcanderson8669 yeah wouldn’t normally come back in on that tide but the boys had to get back in, we lost time in the morning assisting with the boat channel rescue.

Fair to say that was the worst time of the tide cycle to enter the harbour (well any harbour/river really), I am a regular Manukau Harbour entrance crosser, those joggles were something else, I did one Manukau Harbour crossing in that same tidal state......I vowed to myself never again!!

Maybe next time you should try and wear a life jacket ?
