Nice Mods, I have put my transducer at the bottom, there and nice spot for it. Did you ever manage to do a video to show the stern mount? Couldn't find it on your channel, really interested

Sure i can drop a quick vid showing things in a bit more detail. The short answer is that there is square section piece of aluminium swinging off the back of the bracket. The motor is u-bolted to it. There are no holes drilled into the motor stem, so less risk of water ingress.

Hey mate why didn't U put the transducer on the bottom just above the black transducer plate?also if U flip the kayak what happens to the massive battery?doesn't look secure .I could be wrong tho

Its a sidescan sonar, so it may not work as effectively mounted into the hull behind the plate. I had a traditional/downscan on a previous sounder, and it worked great behind that plate. Battery is Strapped to aluminium bar that i put in when i had the motor off to the side. So I don’t think ill lose it, but it probably should be mounted better. Next project is making a bracket to bolt the thing on.
