I had so much fun last week, I figured I'd try it again. On this episode, I returned to the Dutchmen's Creek Access Area in Mount Holly to Compete in Event 5 of the QCKBF SEASON on Lake Wylie. My strategy was to head to the dam in hopes that they would be running water and I could capitalize on the manmade feeding frenzy that it would trigger; however, that was not to be and the plan quickly devolved into pure desperation...

Nice to see the signature getting some good fish. I have two packs of you finessee worms and your craw color to. I am hoping to put them to use this weekend. I like to take the finessee worm down to the top of the egg sack on spot lakes. Gets it it that perfect zoom shaky worm size. Wylie is blessed or a mess for me.

Great video as always Josh! Noticed the water temp is 5-6 degrees cooler up there than down in the lake. You had 2 SOLID ones at least! What was the winners numbers? Tight lines!

I didn’t look, but I’m going to assume mid-70s. The anglers in this club are so good that 70 inches (reminder: it’s a 4 fish limit) sometimes won’t even get you a check.

Hey there man I’m a local I live in gastonia and I have a lot of trouble finding reliable places to catch bass I bank fish and dont have a boat any advice ? Or good spots you know of

I’m newer to Gaston county as well…and so far I haven’t found many great bank fishing spots…yet. I’m still on the hunt. But I have playlists for for both NC and SC lakes and there are some decent ones in those, but theyre a little further away.

The other guy who was fishing that same area as me caught a 19.5”. Admittedly That was the only fish he caught, but it was nice. So I was around big ones. Just not enough of ‘em.

Hey, I went to Lake Marion SC to fish the Santee National Wildlife Refuge and was blown away. While there I was talking to Jud that owns the Bells Marina & RV park and Hotel on the refuge and mentioned you in conversation. He told me he would host you and your wife if you would be willing to film. Hes attempting to get on the kbf trail and I told him you would be perfect to talk to. Write me back if you want his contact information. Take his offer, you won’t regret it.. It’s an incredible spot. All natural shorelines, spring fed. Gorgeous and the fishing is very productive. Blows stump hole away!

I’m actually considering making that my “home base.” The boat traffic isn’t bad and I really like the natural banks. It reminds me of the stuff I used to fish when I was a kid.

I think I’m going to make that my “home base.” South Point is closer, but that Mt Holly launch is more my style.
