You guys have done a lot so far. I wouldn't have thought about buying a toolbox to put the batteries and all the circuits into. Wow! I cannot wait for your "full" video on these Hobie Kayaks. I can't wait until I finally get my first kayak in a couple of weeks because I will be getting a mount from you guys. Thanks for the video.

Love It guys, I just found that Dewalt box for $23 on Amazon and tossed it in my Cart. I think it's a great idea, and looks like it fits the Amped Outdoor 24V 60 Amp hr perfect sideways. I too am going to run the Newport Vessels Motor on my Native. I would only run 1 battery, but I would get a second for a backup. So this box looks like a pretty good setup. Thank You Guys. I've seen guys use Pelican Cases and even a Yetti Tough box but that's a little steep, for my Firarms yes, for a battery Box, Heck No !!!! I also am Considering the Newport Vessels Box that's pretty much ready too go, it's the one yuou guys posted on one of your previous videos. Anyways, Thanks too the both of you, Blessings and stay safe. 😎👍

I want to put a battery box in the back of my Native Slayer max but when I am not using the battery box I dont want any wires hanging out of the hull. Do you think I can put a port in the back and just make it where I can plug in the battery box with a plug. Similar to how you would plug in a trolling motor.

Hey guys! Sorry unrelated comment here but on the trailer rack what did you put on the uprights to give you more length? I have a similar trailer rack just checking! It looks like exhaust tubing didn’t know what size or if you may have a video showing more of it?! Thanks!

How did you secure trolling motor CB's to the Box Lid?
@Sanctified_Leather2 жыл бұрын
Question, how did you attach the amped shunt for the battery 🔋 meter to the under side of the box and also your breakers ? Are they on there by using a industrial strength Velcro ? Thanks
@SaltwaterDawgOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
try electrical zip ties

@@SaltwaterDawgOutdoors Thank You. I thought 💭 about that. And then I just ended up using small bolts and nuts and the bolt heads are on the outside just under the handle of the Dewalt Box. Turned out perfect. I’m using 6 Guage Marine wire, so I wanted it too be solid and not move around as the Cables bend when they go to my Amped batteries from the Amped battery Meter shunt. Thank you regardless for the response and suggestion very much appreciated. 🙏👍

Electronics and trolling motor on the same battery? Is there any interference?
@OneObjective3 жыл бұрын
We aren’t running the same battery for the electronic and motor. Two run the motor and one runs the electronics.

You guys probably aren’t terrible people but man. I’ve email you guys several times regarding a trolling motor mount and did not receive any response. People who reach out are new to the sport of kayak fishing and don’t know much. Do better and maybe respond back to potential customers who are looking for kayak accessories. Dont pride yourself as a business if you cant do the simple stuff. A little help goes a long way.

FYI- SAE connectors are NOT waterproof (i.e. marine grade), at best they're splash proof, designed for automotive applications! Buyer beware, YA "electronics" (pwr pole, switch interface) do NOT meet ANY specifications including USCG, otherwise they would advertise as such to re-coop the expense for doing so! The truth lies in what isn't said (in regards to YA), as opposed to what is. Ask them for copies of their certifications....they don't have ANY. SAE connectors are used because they're the cheapest connectors in the world, note Hobie uses true Marine grade connectors sold for aux. connections. TIP: Go to a junkyard, GM vehicles are full of the connectors you seek, then go to Mouser/ Digikey and order the MOLEX terminals to configure the connectors for your application. CHEERS and STAY DRY!
