That’s the most beautiful float on the river. Jigs, Ned’s, spinnerbaits, jerkbaits and cranks works for me on the Buffalo and of course the plopper when it’s warmer. Message me anytime! Thanks for watching

Yet another great video you did. I always can’t wait for your next video. Hey I would still love to see a video of the equipment you use to haul your kayak on your truck and how you get it up there. You should try fly fishing for those Smallmouth. A few of my friends say it’s a blast. Keep the videos coming! Thanks for sharing!!

Appreciate it! I learned as I went. When I first got a bait caster, I practiced in my yard, but quickly realized that didn’t prepare me for sitting in a kayak. 😂 I learned the most from trial and error more error and some error on the water. Thanks for watching

Great trip bro. I love the Buffalo. It kills me that it's such a long drive up there from Houston. I've never done a solo over night camping trip, been thinking about it a lot though. Those Mountain House meals are surprisingly tasty and filling. Nice flex with the flint and steel on the camp fire :). You could have used the lighter you used for the Jet Boil, but got it done Survivor style. Respect! Hopefully there's a part two coming soon with your day in the rain.

Appreciate it! It’s worth the trip man, but definitely far from you. 😂 it’s a sponsor, so I have to include it in my camping videos. So when I make the fire, I use it. I have gotten better though. I use to use the lighter. 😂 The Jetboil striker is out, so I have to use another igniter for it.

How do you like the Shoalie compared to the Lite Tackle...thanx
@Itchin2Fish
@Itchin2Fish Жыл бұрын
Love both! Miss my LT for camping trips like this. More open space, more stable and tracks better. But the Shoalie floats in inches of water compared to the LT and it’s set up nicer for fishing with the mods and accessories. I would love to own both, but storage is an issue. My choice would be the LT ll. More versatile, stable and better for hauling gear with a great affordable price. Tight lines! Thanks for watching

How does the micro anchor hold you in the river? I didn’t know how it would work with rocky bottom.
@Itchin2Fish
@Itchin2Fish Жыл бұрын
Does well! I only use medium strength for safety, but in swift water it holds great. It does drag in rocks until it finds a soft sport or catches a bigger rock. It’s loud in the rocks though. Makes a terrible noise, but it hasn’t effected the bite in my experience. My winter kayak trip were I’m wearing my DRYSUIT in the thumbnail. I drug 10-15 away of catching two nice smallmouth out of the same hole. I like it on the rear were I can stop myself before crashing through or spooking fish by going over them. When I’m in deeper water I like the anchor wizard off the front and fishing upstream vs down.

Do you use a 1-person or 2-person tent on these trips?
@Itchin2Fish
@Itchin2Fish Жыл бұрын
Two person tent, I have a lot of camera gear that I want to bring out of the elements, so it allows space for that. Plus a little extra room for changing if it rains. My wife joins me too sometimes. I use backcountry tents because they pack so small, so they still feel like a one person tent. Eureka Midori 2 also have a Kelty Salida 2.
