I have lived, camped and fished sections 6-9 the last 37 years and can say this video does an awesome job showing it. Loved the Marshall stop and the vocal performance. Great town! Stoked for part 2!

Hey Pete, I always enjoy your videos. Especially like how dedicated you are in assisting swimmers. You mentioned that Dan lost one of his GoPros during his second swim. If you look back at when you are dumping his boat, you will see when the GoPro was lost. You actually dumped it out of the boat. From your angle while dumping the boat you may not have been able to see it, but the camera caught it. Don’t tell Dan!! But, you can tell him to not let a few swims discourage him from future trips with his good friends. Wish I could have adventures like you guys. I feel like I know all of you. I am a member, and a paddler, and I follow all yours and the other’s channels. Keep making videos. PS, I’ve been looking for a Prijon Yukon Expedition for sometime now. It’s like looking for hens teeth. If you know of any for sale, please let me know.

Thanks Gary! I went back and looked at the video...that camera you see in the second swim remained in the cockpit and was tethered...the camera he lost was on the long boom pole on the back of the boat. It was long gone before I got to him. But you had me excited and dreading seeing me dump out the camera...lol! He actually came back and did section 9 later in the summer in a Katana...he rebounded well! \

@@RiverKingsKayak Thanks Pete, I’m relieved the GoPro in the cockpit was tethered. I would hate to think I had dumped a friend’s GoPro in the river. I’m so glad Dan redeemed himself, even though it was in a more white water friendly boat like the Katana. Did you make a video? If so, I can’t wait to see it.

Pete: I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, your commentary is awesome, it puts us all there with you and tells a story. Loved seeing the tribute to Bren RIP ❤. Dirt dobber: Still don’t know the story behind why they call you that but one thing I do know, you ARE the ice cream king. Dan: great job bud, don’t beat yourself up. Myself and countless others have been in your shoes before, first time I ran class 3, I got beat up really good on the first rapid, swam, then swam 2 more after that and ended up walking 3 more rapids after that. Came back the following year and crushed it. Do the same next time Dan, you got this 💪

You were both right. There is an Eastern continental divide. It separates the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic watersheds. The Western one is more commonly called THE continental divide and it separates flows into the Pacific ocean and Gulf of Mexico / Mississippi river.

This is not helping with my worries of paddling a sit in kayak in whitewater or probably any moving water. I’m sure I would still swim on my SUP but at least getting back on would be so much easier. I couldn’t imagine having to get out after flipping and then having to find a way to get myself back to it, empty the water out, and get myself back in. But it looks like so much fun that it would be worth the challenge.
@RiverKingsKayak6 ай бұрын
It can be a thing! Just getting started in water you feel comfortable in and then moving up in difficulty over time makes that transition easier. So much fun!
@buffoon123420 күн бұрын
In calmer areas of water it’s not too bad to get back into sit ins(with practice). Rapids are much tougher to get back in. Normally a big rock tree or hit the beach/bank to get back in
