KAYAK FISHING AND CAMPING IN CALIFORNIA | BAD ASH OUTDOORS

**A Foreword- While Kayak fishing in Albion, we chose not to wear drysuits. Going forward, we will be wearing dry suits for all ocean pursuits as we want to role model safety the best way possible. On this fishing day, the water temperature was at about 60 degrees, and the air temperature between 63-70 degrees despite the heavy fog. The general rule is that if your combined air temperature and water temperature is over 120 degrees, then a dry suit is not necessary. While we were within that guideline on our trip, we still want to highlight the significance of safety while kayaking.

Fun trip! You can do the same thing with the crabs on the edge of a 5 gal bucket if you happen to have one on you.

I thought you were going to let that ling go! I became emotionally comprised at the thought of letting such table fare go. My sister who never gets fresh fish was surprised how good they taste without a lot of spice or work.

@@BadAshOutdoors from there down to the south side of Navarro beach is really good fishing. You can launch at Navarro beach too. Big reds and lingcod and close in big kings.

Don't you have homework to do? :-D I just bought a couple of used Pescador Pilot 12.0 yaks up here in AK (which are currently sitting in my living room at this rental lol) so hopefully I'll be able to get set up to hit the inlets, bays and lagoons next year. I think I'd have to travel a bit far to get lings where I'm at, but salmon, rockfish, grayling, halibut, flounder and a few others are on the menu within striking distance if I'm reading things right!
