I'm 43 now. I've lived 5 lifetimes worth of these moments. Grew up on a farm on the Mckenzie River. My road is named after my great grandfather. I grew up a short walk to the walterville canal in front of my house, I regularly caught 16+ inch up to 24 inch Mckenzie redsides. Steelhead, and chinook salmon during the spring and summer runs. Fall (half pounders and winter steelhead runs) on the Rogue River. I've not spent enough time on the Rogue these past couple years, outside of taking my raft down the wild and scenic section.

How kayaks have changed outdoor activities and fishing. Multi-thousand dollar boats, fuel, the noise, maintenence etc. It's all mute when it comes to kayaks. There's times and places when bigger motor boats are necessary, but kayaks have given us back the ease of use as well as the access to what you've been showcasing. It's even more intimate than a drift boat or a raft. You're right there on the water. In a seated position, you are able to dip your hands into the water. It's beautiful and intimate. Thank you for sharing.
