Great video i would love to start kayak fishing but wouldnt know where to start i normally do shore fishing and boat fishing from newbiggen to craster when i can get out but with kayak fishing the sea is your oyster
@onthedropfishing4 жыл бұрын
You should just do it. Take the plunge (not literally!) but be prepared to have no money left for anything else mind you 😂. Join some local Facebook groups North East Kayak Anglers is a good one. Nice friendly folk who will be more than happy to point you in the right direction. 👍

Looks cracking that mate. I need to get my gear sorted out again and get back out there. Possibly next year at some point 🤔

I can assure you it’s not Rob! 😂 Sonar only really shows you structure and depth. Not that often you see the fish before the take 😃

Is the beach you launched from called Low Newton By The Sea please.
@onthedropfishing4 жыл бұрын
Yeah but it’s a bit of a mare. It’s a hard slog and the beach surfs up really really easily so be careful. Craster is a safer launch.

Great wee session mate, do you not take any of the half decent ones for the table?
@onthedropfishing4 жыл бұрын
Glad you enjoyed it 👍 I fish catch and release 99% of the time. I occasionally take a fish for the table, if it’s gut hooked I’ll definitely take it.

Hard walk back up from that mark especially with all the gear never again for me think Cullercoats is the next launch

Hi. Where is it that you parked mate if you dont mind me asking. My van is a high top
@onthedropfishing2 жыл бұрын
Hi mate, I parked at the steads for that trip if I remember correctly. You’d be best off in the main car park at Craster though in a high top 👍🎣

Can I ask u do u just put the lure on the line no weights just getting into kayaking thanks and what weight lures
@onthedropfishing4 жыл бұрын
Hi mate, The lures I mainly use are fiiish black minnows in 25grams. Using braid help when using such light gear. I don’t add any extra weight
