Great job on showing people the technique how to get back on a Kayak when it capsizes. It looks easy. However it isn't when you're actually doing it in real time. Not only do you manage to keep yourself afloat, stay calmed but also try to get back on a Kayak, flip it back up with safety gear you wear that weights you down and climb it back on. That's a lot of work and very tiring. Kudos to you, Carlos for letting you borrow his Kayak, and TLA for his support and help you during this first tried demo. What a great friendship and team work! Keep up the good work Brother Thuy.

Thuy, Thuy, Thuy.....there are 2 kinds of kayakers. Those who have been upside down and those who are going to be upside down. Thats why they made canoes, so u can sit in them not on them. lol good roll-over drill. good to know how to do it.

I like to fish in the ocean, but too chicken to get a kayak for the reason of flipping over and getting run over by boats.

Kayak fishing is pretty safe if you go with others and prepare for everything. I have to try three times in order for the kayak flipped.

I personally mounted a small H-rail on my compass to assist in flipping & reentry. I also do not trust the provided track system for heavy weight trolling. It will fail eventually. So I use a Scotty H-rail adapter or my Scotty mount firmly affixed to the hull with a backing plate. Which I noticed your kayak had but wasn’t used. This way the rod won’t wrap around your chest under load or when a fish strikes. Otherwise, this video was a fun watch. I feel a bit duped by the whole “flipped” narrative. But it’s still fun to watch folks do it purposely. Especially in the ocean!
