Kayak on Lago Yojoa (HONDURAS)

A simple yet, great activity to do while staying near Lago Yojoa is kayaking 🇭🇳. Honestly it may be the only activity there, unless you venture down the road to a nearby town and go to the gym or shopping.
I walked down the canal and asked some folks, they were very kind and said that I can have a kayak for the whole day for 80 lempiras, $3-4 US.
You take the canal 20-30 minutes out into the lake and then the whole lake opens up to you.
It’s really pretty and there are few boats and pretty much nobody out there.
I kayaking around the western part of the lake for three hours and had a great time. It is super chill.
You can’t swim in the lake but in the canal guy can jump in with the kids from town…which I did.
