I'm in central Florida. Thank God we only received wind and rain. The worst hurricanes were in 2004. We had 4 in a row. I lost my house . The insurance company canceled insurance 6 months prior so ...complete loss. My heart goes out to the Carolinas. It's scary not knowing how long you will go without power, food and water. 😢 glad you had minimal damage

Freaky. I used to live in Indiana back in the 90's, I lived in Marion for a couple of years. I don't remember hurricane "after shock" there, but I do remember on December 24, 1993 I saw all the seasons in one day (thunder/lightning, rain, hail, and finally - snow). That was my last day there, I came back to Nebraska where we can synchronize our watches in the summer based on the weekend tornadoes. 😂😆🙃🤣

Upstate SC here, trees down everywhere, bringing down power lines and some fallen on houses. All rivers, streams etc flooded. No power since 5.00am Friday morning and not expected to be back up until next Friday. Had some Zucchini and Cucumbers that were looking good for a late fall harvest but they took quite a battering, tidied them up and hoping some recover. Weirdly my cherry tomatoes look the same as before Helene, still producing. Realising how much we are spoiled by AC now that we don't have power, but watching you is like a breath of fresh air

Definitely bad storm . I watched a river of water come out of the hills and take over the road . It was up to the bottom of the doors when I got out of it. When I got home I seen the pond I built in July was full and overflowing. I'm just in Southern Ohio i can't imagine what the Southern states went through.

We live in Indiana also, just north of Columbus. We were at a nursey just a week or so ago and they had fig trees but were not frost proof. Besides the seller said this area doesn't have the wasp species that is required to produce edible fruit. I see your fig tree had figs on it. Do you have anything to say about that ? I'm confused after seeing your fig tree with fruit!

It produced 2 figs earlier this season and this is its first year! And they tasted delicious. These are Chicago hardy figs. Technically hardy in our zone but I don’t really believe them so I’m taking it inside lol.
