Mate, that fish you lost your vibe to looked like a giant herring - the way it breached and shook its head and looked like it had a darker top half and a silver bottom half ahaha pretty cool if it was! I heard you can catch them here 😅

@@ChrispyyWings early morning run out tide on some shallow diving hard body’s or just about any softie. Last time I went out there i threw out a atomic hard body first cast and before I even clipped my bail arm over I was on, pulled out a bunch over 55cm and a few 65+. No small ones so far. And I’ve put them all back so there’s definitely a few big girls lurking out there.

Now there the days we love to have. I have tried a few times but always been there at the wrong time I believe haha
@doinksinamish52972 жыл бұрын
@@ChrispyyWings if u ever get a chance and want to try it out watch for the first high tide of the day and flick lures anywhere from the edge of the big weed patch as you are entering the canal all the way down to the corner where it wraps around. I’ve found that they sit on the transition from the shallow weed bed to where it gets a little bit deeper and ambush the small fish that swim by. Moon phase will probably help as I’ve been there on less active days and caught nothing.

i know exactly where you are, use to live 5 minutes from there... the big bird that would have been attacking the drone is a eagle there is 2 of them there been there for years... and there is plenty of sharks around there mostly hammers from what i've personally seen
@ChrispyyWings3 жыл бұрын
That's exactly it man, usually those Eagles don't attack the drone. Heaps of sharks, but if they don't scare you, there is plenty of fish to catch

What’s your reasoning for rigging that minnow upside down? Do you find they swim better?

As long as you remain above water & not in the water your chance of surviving a shark encounter is 100%. I haven't launched the kayak since 14th June due to bad weather mostly. Today I tried land-based fishing in some old haunts. 4.30 am to 9.00 am. Caught a magnificent donut on bait. Did not use lures. My fingers were too cold to bait the hook effectively. I left for home at 9.30am after spending 1/2 hour trying to tie the rods onto the roof rack. Frozen fingers. Next session? Warmer weather with little wind. Thanks for sharing.
