You guys do a great job. I live in twin falls so now that I’ve found your channel and just purchased a new car I’m ready to try and find the places in your videos. I truly appreciate these videos highlighting the nature around us and giving me motivation to get out there and explore. Thank you. I would love to be involved and come out with you some day

Just fyi, we tried launching at this location today (Sunday) they were closed for some reason, we found a place just before this location that just opened called blue heart springs kayak, we brought are own kayaks, they charged $5 per person that included parking, shorter distance, brand new still working on their signs but off same street of the hot springs

Been waiting for this video!! So awesome. Box canyon nature preserve/state park has been on my bucket list ever since Idaho public television did a big special on all the state parks in Idaho, and I'd love to know if blue heart springs is the same as box canyon?? The section on the springs and blue water in that area blew my mind, I had no idea it was there! Can't wait to check this place out, great video as always!
@JonConti5 жыл бұрын
Stephanie Anderson thanks Stephanie! We have to do a video on box canyon eventually. We went there once but didn’t have a KZbin channel then. I’m curious on why the water at Blue Heart is so blue? We tried to find out and I’m not sure anyone knows why? If anyone finds out let us know!
@mayinthehouse5 жыл бұрын
@@JonConti I'm going to dig up that tv special because it talked all about why the water is so blue, and that answers my question, box canyon is a different place than blue heart, so now I have two places to go!

Stephanie Anderson yes sorry! Blue heart is different than box canyon, but apparently you can get to blue heart, from box canyon. I’m not sure how to do that yet though!

@JonConti4 жыл бұрын
This is extremely easy for a beginner, there are no rapids or anything. It's an out and back so you paddle up river to Blue Heart, then you paddle back to the dock you launched from.

I’m from Henderson Nevada and been paddle boarding for two years now. I want to do a trip up to Shoshone Falls but would like someone to lead and guide us on a tour. How long is the paddle to the Shoshone falls. Not looking to necessarily be up close and personal with the falls but willing to see it at a safe distance and take some awesome pictures. What’s the temperature like and what’s the latest in the year you would suggest paddling this adventure?
@JonConti3 жыл бұрын
Ok I was just there this weekend and I went over to AWOL adventure sports and asked them some of your questions. They usually offer a guided trip for $75 a person, but labor day was their last week. You can still paddle to the falls, pretty much until it becomes too cold. Right now the water is still pretty warm, but our temperatures are dropping. Probably best to wait until next year and have AWOL guide you. July and August are the best months. Here's my video on the falls if you haven't seen it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/h5bZmoeflJqppZo

Oh wow!! The fact you didn’t research this more is embarrassing for you. The “Little geysers” are why is it ‘blue heart’. The “little geysers” formulate and create and small sand barge in the middle that looks like heart. Which definitely looks blue. And yes it’s blue because of the surrounding waters and foliage, sun shade, etc. However, most anyone from this area knows this info and the fact you didn’t even confirm with any local is kinda shameful. However, cool video of our Idaho amazing spot. In fact, your description of where it is is a little suspect. For those actually wanting to see this spot get better directions from locals. This here is just silly.
