Nice fish Justin,The other day Panfish Bill was launching his kayak to go fishing on WATT,S BARR lake and saw Catfish Dave preparing to fish.Dave yelled out to him,where you going Bill.Panfish replied im going downriver to catch a huge flathead.Dave yelled back at him,you mean if the good Lord,s willing you will.Bill replied,Ive got a kayak,a bucket full of bluegill,s and im going to get a big flathead,and the Lord has nothing to do with it.Before Panfish reached the spot he was going to catch a state record flathead at ,a huge storm blew in and capsized his kayak and he barely made it to shore with his life.He managed to limp his way back upriver to the boat launch area and passed by Catfish Dave landing a huge flathead.Dave yelled out to ol Panfish, Where you headed now Billy boy.Ol Panfish yelled back in the strongest voice he could muster.If the good Lord,s willing im going back home.....................Keep after it Justin and you,ll have one on you will have to take to the shore to land.

I know you had a recent issue with the Torqeedo. What was the cause of the error message that was coming up? Did their customer service help you out and get things corrected?

Not sure what caused the problem. I mailed it to their repair center and got a brand new motor back 9 days later. Frustrating that it happened but their customer service was excellent.

Hi Justin, Been watching a lot of your videos in the past couple of weeks. Love seeing you battle those big cats from your kayak, especially the Flatheads since that is my favorite fish. The kayak seems like loads of fun and if I was many years younger I would certainly be doing what you are but my 70 year old knees and old bones in general won't allow me. Thus, I now fish from my boat or more recently a pontoon I just purchased. You certainly seem to have a good fishery for the big cats. I have been chasing Flatheads for around 9 years and my PB is only 21 lbs 3 oz, caught in Watauga Lake in Carter county TN (I live in Hampton, TN near Bristol). I've done a few videos of some of our catches and fails throughout the years and titled them Flathead Fishing Watauga Lake, TN on my KZbin channel. Say, you must live near or in Lenoir City. I lived there for about 7 years when I was a kid. Had a good friend named Johnny Johnson, his father's name was Cyril. Just wondering if you are related?? Or, live in Lenoir City? Thanks! As for what structures I look for, I love main channel ledges. Those are the catfish highways and I catch the bulk of my fish drifting or trolling them. I also like creek mouths, points, any confluence where two rivers join or where a major creek flows into the river, etc. I also look for man made objects in reservoirs. Things like old road beds, submerged bridges, railroads, etc. Those will often hold fish as well.

People fish all winter long here for blues. Numbers are down during the cold months but some of the biggest fish are always caught in the winter. Hopefully you will catch a monster while you are in Tennessee.
