This section of the Eno is 5 minutes from where I live. I let two local dudes talk me into going down this section with them once at this level. They were inexperienced and didn’t have the right gear. It was stupid of me and horrifying. They had no idea the danger they were in and had a blast! Lol! Ignorance is bliss! Great video and one of the best technical breakdowns I’ve seen of the lower Eno! Oh! One more thing! Next time you run this section when you get to the big pile of granite boulders on river Right, hop out and walk up the hill and check out the Eno Rock Quarry. Especially if it’s warm. One of the best and clearest swimming holes in the state!

Three or four years back I went through and hiked the majority of eno and actual hiked across bobbits hole lol it was fun! A little daunting but doable as the river flow was shallower.

I just bought a kayak for more casual paddling. Was out on falls lake today and saw where it connected with the eno, and wondered if there were any places I could launch along the eno that didn’t really have rapids? Great video. Thanks for sharing.
@RiverKingsKayak Жыл бұрын
Great question Steve! I would imagine that it would get flatter the closer you get to the lake. I have never paddled those lower stretches though and have no first hand knowledge. Sounds like I need to go explore a bit!

LOL!!! This was class I - III. Right on Chris! Levels would dictate difficulty. Whitewater really starts at class II. class one is just moving water. The class III on this river is on the low end of the spectrum...
