Actually me too. For the most part, I was paddling shirtless. Cold is good for you. I used to climb a 4000 m mountain pick covered in snow, with just a T-shirt.

Thanks, Canada is an excellent place for Kayakers. In kayaking, there's a rule of thumb for temperature-vs-survival time if one capsizes. For every temperature degree (in C), you've got one minute to recover. Two degrees, though not cold for walking, actually and sadly has killed even the most experience of kayakers who capsized in the wrong place at the wrong time in low temperature water. @@donniedarko1184
