Is that the kayak with built in autopilot? If so, congrats, that’s a very nice kayak and the motor should really help you stay in position to target sheepshead. Good luck and thanks again for subscribing!

I’m a local angler and fish a lot of the same spots you do, but you catch way more fish than me! I love your vids. You’ve convinced me to use the Carolina rig for Sheepies rather than the taco jig, and I’ve caught more since I made the switch. Thank you! Hope to see you out on the water sometime!
@VISUAL-LY2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching the video and the awesome feedback! Glad you’re catching more! That’s how I learned to fish for Sheeps, the old school method. Those sheepshead jigs haven’t been around that long as far as I know and people have been slaying Sheeps back in the days with the ol’ Carolina. If you aren’t already, go to a Owners 2/0 size octopus hook. And tie it on using a snell knot. Make sure it bends the correct way though, that’s crucial! Tight lines!

I know you were fishing a rising tide but did you find your sheepshead on the bottom. or suspended? If suspended were they staying at the same depth as you moved from dock to dock?
@VISUAL-LY2 жыл бұрын
It’s was top of the incoming and the bite was pretty slow. As soon as the water started to flow out, that’s when we got most of the action. And most fish caught were near the bottom. Although, there wasn’t much depth for them. All the spots we fished were 2-4ft with the exception of dock3 which might have been 5ft or so.
