Kayaking on the GREAT LAKES - Lake Erie | VLOG

Daily VLOG: We're making an effort year, to bring a better balance to work life, and fun life. So today, we decided to dig out the kayaks from the lean-to, and head to the beach for some kayaking, and fishing. Sterling State Park in Michigan was our destination. We put in, in the back-water pond area behind the campground, and paddled out to Lake Erie, and headed south to the old Ford Motor Company property. There, we explored a bit, had some lunch, and headed back inland for some bass fishing. Ended up hooking 2 small fish, which both got off the line, and larger sized bass that I couldn't land either. Still a better day, than a good day at work.

We only took the GoPro with us that day. It's not waterproof though, once you add an external microphone.

You all are braver than I am! We are about 50 miles from Lake Superior where the water temp doesn’t get much above 50 degrees even in the heat of Summer. Beautiful video! That deer was so cool!! ~Heather

Sometimes you've just got to recharge your batteries and what a piece of heaven right here on earth! I think Michigan is one of the most beautiful states in the union but then again I am just a bit prejudiced living here in the mitten all my life. Glad you shared some of your down time with us
