Kayaking the Little Manatee River | Canoe Outpost | Wild Florida | Gators, Manatees

Hey everyone! Sarah Phinney here. I stay really busy at work exploring parks and trails for #SarahsWalkingClub​​​​​​​​​​, but I also get up to some fun stuff #OffTheClock​​​​​​​​​​. Subscribe to this channel to keep up with my adventures! This past weekend, I paddled the Little Manatee River from Canoe Outpost Wimauma, FL to their Fish Camp, which is 6.5 miles downriver. Along they way, I saw alligators, manatees and turtles AND a fascinating interaction between a mama gator and a great blue heron. Plus, I heard the SOUNDS of baby gators for the first time. So informative. Really appreciate all the little details as we consider dropping in at the Outpost next month. Lasers as the sound of little gators…never thought of that but so accurate! Funny stuff. Thanks for taking us on this adventure!

Glad you like our river! It's pretty awesome and there are so many areas to paddle. The Canoe Outpost is also great for camping or glamping too.

Really enjoy your descriptions and overview. The baby gator sound...wow...never heard that one before and I have been on many trails and areas with gators. Definitely something new for me. Thank you!
