That redfish had awesome color!
@williamcox81755 жыл бұрын
Scott, l was in the exact spot you were in on the 18th, l was using a gold spoon and caught an 18 inch very tasty redfish. The funny thing I was about waist deep in water casting my spoon when l looked in front of me and saw a 3 or 4 foot shark heading straight l mean straight at me..l went into turbo back pedal mode and scared him enough making so much noise that he spun around and left. Did it stop me from fishing, nope l am either dedicated or dumb I just wanted to take home some redfish.

😳 it’s always sketchy seeing them hahaha. that’s dedication if you ask me!

Awesome Video Brother!! Man I hope I get some slot reds this weekend. What is your favorite way to cook red fish Scott? 👊🏼👊🏼🐠🐠
@KayakingKennedy5 жыл бұрын
I appreciate it! Good luck to you! Ooh that’s a tough one, I’d say either grilled on the half shell or blackened in a cast iron skillet.

Redfish SLAYER! Are popping corks typically paired with artificial? Have you tried popping dead or live shrimp?
@KayakingKennedy5 жыл бұрын
Thanks tony! It’s about 50/50. When we fish live shrimp on trips it’s usually under a popping cork.
@kylemcgee29515 жыл бұрын
@@KayakingKennedy Do you use treble hooks under cork when fishing live shrimps?
@KayakingKennedy5 жыл бұрын
@Kyle if I’m getting abunch of short strikes I’ll put on a treble but I try to use circle hooks if possible. A lot of times fish get those live shrimp pretty deep and a treble can do some damage in the back of their gullets.

Thank you I have been trying the vodoo and doa I still have never caught anything with them. But I am still trying
@KayakingKennedy5 жыл бұрын
Try adding some procure scent and if you’re using them on the beach run a light leader (10-15lb floor) to hide that line real well.
