So it will run on nothing but solar even if the unit battery is died / bad? Can u switch out batteries from the unit? I been looking at the lion solar cooler combo its got replacement batteries and solar but biggest one is 50 quart. this one here is big and dual zone but no replacement batteries i cant decide now i seen this video.

It has a surge protector, it makes sure it doesn't draw too much current. It does not protect your car battery being drained , the Chinese one protects the car battery by shutting off once the battery drains too low That's why they sent this to you and made sure you said the Chinese version is worse even though even this version compressor was made in Asia.

This is a customized Alpicool TWW75 (which also has the LG compressor). It comes in a smaller and larger size as well. That storage spot is for the optional removable lithium battery. You can charge the battery via solar, and can probably get it from alpicool if you wanted one.

I have a Taco too, was really happy this thing fit under my diamondback toneu cover. It fits on the right side near the power outlet too so perfect for short trips to tailgating or weekend camping trips. I have a jackery 500w w the solar panels also, can't wait to see how that performs on a week long trip this Summer.

Can it work when the environment temp is>30°C Can it repaired? How does it work?(simple parts and wiring diagram) After switch off, how long does it keep items frozen?

that's not a storage port for your cords that's a place to put a battery. I have the exact same cooler but in 37 quart just got my battery yesterday and it's amazing!

They are just positive and negative wires behind that also so you can make your own attachment and connect it to whatever buy you want to buy for it. Can use clips and get big car battery for it. Then get small solar panel for 1 battery setup maybe motorcycle battery or lawn mower any one you want.

It seems like you might be able to run this on a small Jackery with the solar panel and be good to go as long as you have good sun.

it will only work with solar panels if you buy the optional battery that plugs into that area that this guy thought was a storage compartment for cords. I have the same cooler and just got my battery the other day the solar panels will be my next purchase.

That fridge takes 12v for power when you plug into 120v that box on cord just down steps the 120v to 12v thats all that does.

Can you connect it with a digital watt monitor to test how many watts it draws. It would also be interesting to see if there is a difference in watts depending on the voltage thats hooked up to it. Maybe 120vac is more efficient. This info would be helpful to a lot so they can plan their trip better. Thank appreciate the review

There are many good quality dual zone fridges out there but, I don't remember any review that mentions about the reversible lids, neither a safe place to keep the power cables. Those two are huge conveniences.

compressor fridge cant operate like this. Best ones Ive seen only go up to 45 degrees of tilt. Hope it helps

It's gonna largely depend on what brand you go with minimal tilting and stuff absolutely but just don't go crazy with it and if it flips I would turn it off and let it sit for a while

This thing is a piece of garbage I had 8 of them in my house return return return could not freeze a tray of ice one of the returns I got a 96 ice maker Ken cooler refrigerator that's not what ordered. On another return I got wine cooler. Another one of returns I got a smaller container it wasn't A 120/115 cooler

At least you came to your senses and ditched the Yeti, overrated and overpriced. Plus you lose half the space to ice, so a 75 ltr cooler is really only around 40ltr and everything gets wet and soggy after a few days, With a freezer you can make your own ice whenever you want. Yeti owners care more about the ice in the cooler than the food and drink in the cooler, "Ooohhh, look, there is some ice in the cooler after 4 days", then don't mention the water got into the butter and steaks. I got the 55ltr version for $229 today, so I can now call Yeti owners 'Peasants'. I will get the internal battery and solar panel later so it can run itself 24/7.

I hope yours last you for years and years but you lost me at LG. I do refrigerator repairs for a living and I hate LG. Their compressors are not good and good luck getting one if it goes out. The one for the refrigerator in my home is still in warranty but has been on backorder for a year. Good luck.
