As you place items inside the fridge or freezer will get colder as the items inside cools or freezes. Just like a regular fridge will not be as cold if empty compared to the with items inside.

is that a drain at the bottom inside? can you throw ice in there to help it out or when you suddenly run out of power?

I couldn’t quite keep up with what you were suggesting doing but I feel like it’s trying to only charge the battery when the input voltage is higher for instance for it to rudimentarily assume your alternator is on or off which is a better time to charge. Just a theory. I really like this fridge, I wish someone would review the plastic injection molded vs traditional metal square chest fridges though, I’ve always been curious about that.

@@JeremiahMcintosh Actually, there is a Bluetooth app. This cooler is branded by several destributers and several have apps available. I have a Bodega branded cooler but I don't recommend their app as one side cannot be adjusted to freezing. Instead I use Brass Monkey or Alpicool portable fridge apps which both work well. This may work for your Newair and can be used to monitor multiple dual zone fridges.

don't buy waste of money, can't get parts. Have 80L dual zone used 3 times control panel went out. Customer service keeps telling me to call back with no results. 700$ wasted.
