I'm proud of Ekiti State. Eledumare go bless you Tani Olorun
@remiomodele32337 ай бұрын
I decided to play this video again today, and like all important bodies of work, I found something new! I now know the source of my grandmother's appellation and oriki--Omo'Loora. Eye'Moloora, as she was respectfully called by all and the hundreds of patients she served (freely!), was also one of the last Olorisa'jesa in Ikere. Thank you folks for helping me to connect the dots! Interesting also, one of my relatives was also involved in building Ikogosi into the touristic attraction that it is today. TaniOloun: May you keep on growing and growing and growing! In the truly independent Yorubaland that I foresee in our future, this is the type of information we must teach in schools--just as the Jews, Japanese and Chinese teach their own ancestral past from generation to generation. Enough of the colonial baggage!

When we were in secondary school, over 40 years ago we went on excursion from Ibadan to some of these resorts. I remember among other places we visited Ikogosi warm spring and Erin Ijesha waterfalls. Many of the facilities put in place now were not there then. And I cannot remember that we had any curator to tell us the stories about their origin. We only had guides to take us round.

Lovely! I visited this resort with my family in 2016. My kids were flabbergasted. We have many things that will generate tourists to Odua Country. I pray this happen in my life time. The chief explained the story better than the people who works in resort. Many the Lord re-established and bless Yoruba country. Amen.

I was at Ikogosi warm spring with my children and my late husband [Professor Samuel O. Alasoadura] in 1972,we were there for a week in the rented quarters. It wasn't as elaborate as the shown video. Kudos to the inhabitants and the government of Ekiti state for the development. I wish to revist the place with my grandchildren, if God almighty granted us the grace IJMN aameen.

I was at Ikogosi warm spring in 1986... I went to the source of two sources on top of the hill. The warm and the cold are very close to each other.. Very close to agree that they're two different water coming out... God is so great and nature is wonderful!! Its now very beautiful area. What happened to the lions that were kept there? Are they still there? Well done. Thanks for bringing this...

Good job, Chief and Tani Oloun. Please make sure to find, and record the recitations, oriki, prayers and ways of evoking the spirits of the ancestors Chief Isaoye cogently described. There are still devotees in the town, and I am sure they know the invocations and everything necessary for the worship. Please set aside a time in the year for regular/annual worship. Here comes another Osun Osogbo--a potential international crowd puller!

It's extremely disappointing that our government re Ekiti State government is not doing enough to publicise and celebrate our tourist environment. What's wrong with spending billions (if need be) in turning our natural nature blessed environment into paradise. This is an investment that has the capacity to double its return. Nigeria should be doing more to promote our tourism sector.
