Pennigton has the interim belt not Julianna Pena Harrison wants her 2nd fight in June for that title then that's between her + UFC to decide, Penningtons injury holdback could backtrack more wait for Pena as the no.1 contender for the Bantam Weight division match that was supposed to be planned for the summer, depending on how long the healing time takes for Pennigton to recover or what they can sort out + come up with but in her own words Julianna Pena seems interested in the Womens Bantam Weight Title specifically .

Kayla and Alex are prime examples of why they need to change how weigh-ins work. Being able to cut down and bulk up to 20+ lbs above the weight class is stupid. She looked huge compared to Holly.

Everyone has made great arguments in this comment section about this. I mean I have had to deal with this in martial arts tournaments. But it's starting to get kinda ridiculous. I love me some Kayla don't get me wrong, but to come in and weigh in at 135 and then come in there HUGE with 20 pounds and you are already looking superhuman strong is ridiculous. Holly is in incredible shape and is ripped to the bone but she looked like some random soccer mom in there with Kayla on the other hand looking like trt vitor Belfort. Something has to be done. Man that's a 135 vs a jacked 155. I mean what is that.

I agree BEFORE getting a title shot put against Ketlin Viera. Who have black belts in judo and bjj. Plus was a amateur wrestler. Or bring Laetitia Blot from France to UFC. Blot is a judoka, freestyle wrestler, and sambo competitor. Plus was trained in bjj( probably purple belt level) and Luta Livre for MMA.

This division is so weak right now. Kayla is very safe. If UFC cannot temp Amanda to come back she is going to be safe for a very long time. She is huge, cuts a ton of weight, probably used to dancing with USADA her whole life as an olympian. Her striking is total joke, Holly in her prime would starch her, Amanda might still KHTFO, who else is left? Julianna Pena cannot come close to wrestling and laying on top of this woman to edge out a win so she is out for sure. Raquel 16 wins 8 losses, she will get mauled, so thats a no way...wow...so who is next? if USADA or age doesnt take her down, only an elite female striker can knock her out.
