Loved this vlog! Your kitchen looked beautiful. The book “Clean My Space” by Melissa Maker is my favorite go to book on cleaning. Melissa is my cleaning guru, and her approach to cleaning is practical, down to earth, and it works! You did very well on this vlog. It held my interest, was entertaining, and believable! Always love seeing your beautiful and very bright children. That Riley just gets to me. She has more sense than the law allows! lol…❤

Sticker system. I put on sticky notes on a fridgee for areas that need to clean. Pick up when through the week when i have free time. This works the best.

Thank you for putting all my thoughts into words and into a video 😆🩷 My kids are with me 24/7 too and climbing up my back all the time lol But I’m on a journey to learn and keep at it more!! Of course being with the kids is my biggest priority but I know our home is (or should be lol) our safe haven! ❤

This literally could not have come at a more perfect time because…. Literally same. Def wasn’t taught how to clean but I really want to and have like a schedule for myself or something. The days go by so fast and my goodness, messes grow really fast. Thanks for this!

I like the power paste!! I haven’t used the pink stuff but the power paste always works for me. I will say, try not to get the sponge too wet! Keep it as dry as possible I feel like it works better. The power paste is abrasive so the less water you add the more it’ll scrub. Sometimes for tough spots I scrape a little of the product off and scrub with my finger without adding any water at all. Also you can buy a razor blade to scrape the stuff off the oven that won’t scrub off.

Btw this video was super relatable, I wasn’t taught how to clean either! I think a lot of times we are just expected to know.

You can also get one of those dish scrubber brushes and keep it in your shower with half Dawn dish soap and half white vinegar and just scrub down the shower as needed and the do one good clean every month; month and a half as you see fit! It’s a good spot clean!

For your microwave just put a bowl of vinegar, lemon juice and a pump of dish soap and some hot water in there and let it heat up for about 2 minutes and then all the dirt will just come off with a quick wipe. Found this out about a year ago and now its so easy to clean!

I created a laundry and cleaning schedule that was a game changer… except now I need to revise since my youngest is dropping his second nap. Such is the life with little people 🙂 But I do bedrooms one day, bathrooms one day, kitchen one day etc. Has been the easiest for me at least!

You can get special glass scrapers to be able to clean your oven glass 😊 Perhaps try a material drainer for next to the sink and then you could just put it in the washing machine after use (maybe two would work quite well as you could rotate?).

Also, I put the extractor fan/hood removable filters into the dishwasher and they come out well.

Fill a spray bottle with half vinegar and half water. It will help your streaky glass stove stop. It can be used on many other things too just google first because it can’t be used on certain counters or wood. Also if you clean your kitchen (or any room) every night/morning it means you have less long deep cleaning days with tons of scrubbing. I do my dishes every night and clean the counters/ stove top off, wipe the sink out. You’ll figure it out.

What I do for my clean dishes instead of that plastic mat is use something like a tablecloth (one of the thicker individual tablecloths), and I use it for like 5 days and then I put a new one and wash it. It's, in my opinion, more hygienic than silicone mats that we forget to clean. Or... I use a drying rack with the tablecloths underneath, so I can also put that to wash.

I like the style of cleaning video where you talk the whole time and don't just do it to music, btw. A lot of times I will put a KZbin video on in the background while we are busy so I like a chatty video. Some cleaning KZbinrs just put it to music.

This was a fun video. For your microwave, take a glass bowl, fill with water, cook 3 minutes until it boils then keep the door closed and it will steam the inside. Then you can use a damp cloth to wipe the microwave, Much easier!

I use baking soda and lemon essential oil for everything (it's the cheapest pure essential oils from Walmart too) and it works so great for everything I freaking love it! I used to have different cleaners for everything and now I use thives and the baking soda and lemon, I do have a jar of pink stuff that I use sometimes too haha

Look for a roll up drying rack that sits on your sink! Rolls out of the way when not in use, and dries over the sink so the water goes into the sink. Found mine at tj Maxx for $10!

Love this cleaning motivation! Just curious if Mimi gets offended when you say no one ever taught you to cook and clean? Edit: she basically explained this in her IG stories. Mimi would clean while she was at school so she never witnessed it happening. And she didn’t really enjoy cooking so she never sat there watching her mom cook.

HOW TO BUILD BETTER HABITS: 1. Commit to completing them at a specific time. 2. Set a target and work backwards to reach it. 3. Use resources to stop procrastination. 4. Make sure your habits are enjoyable. 5. Stop negotiating with yourself.
