Some tips for people who are looking to quit vaping that helped me quit: - write down the reasons you’re quitting. Does it give you headaches, make your throat sore, make you constantly out of breath? Are you wasting a lot of money on the habit? Go back to this list whenever you’re getting urges to start vaping again. It will prevent you from seeing vaping through rose-colored glasses. - if you like vaping because of the oral stim, get some gum you can chew on when you’re craving an oral stim. If you like it because of the fruity flavors, start to suck on hard candies (such as jolly ranchers). You can also get some healthy popsicles. - the first few days are the hardest because of the withdrawal. For me, this period wasn’t that hard but it varies greatly from person to person, so prepare for the worst. I would advise you to quit when you have a few days to nurse yourself. The weekend for example. If you can’t take a few days to nurse yourself, pain relievers and water are going to be your best friends. - lastly, NO MOOCHING OFF OF YOUR FRIENDS’ VAPES! RESIST THE URGE TO ASK FOR A HIT. IF THEY ASK IF YOU WANT A HIT, TELL THEM NO. In my experience, this is how I got hooked again after years of being clean. I know this is the experience of many others as well. Don’t do it!!! I can’t stress this part enough. I’m clean now, but I had to go through the experience of withdrawal again. Wasn’t worth it. Hope these help someone! :)

Another thing is. If you started from being in a bad headspace and used it as an escape, try find other things that can help. Vaping is not a flex, neither is smoking. It slowly kills you how is that a flex?? Secondly, you can get addicted to anything…it’s not just hardcore drugs and cigarettes. Some vapes can even be more addictin than some of the things you guys have said. If you are 11-16 and you know it’s not good for you, why are you doing it?? You’re not cool, and it’s not cute so you’re drawing in bad attention, and you’re gonna either die young or you’re gonna be the friend/ family member with long term health issues. Kayla got addicted to vaping, she tried to stop, and it crept back up on her. It happens, and if you absolutely can’t stop it’s okay and that’s understandable because nobody id perfect and can just stop and never touch it again. It becomes a problem when 11 year olds try bragging about vaping like it’s a game.

My dad was in school during the peak of cigarettes (60s & 70s) when almost 50% of the population smoked, including kids as young as 5. He started when he was about 9 as did all the kids he knew. While it became a lot less popular as more laws & information came out, 10 years ago, kids still smoked cigarettes. I started high school at 12 (Australia high school is normally 12 - 16 years old) in 2017, right before vapes blew up & kids 12 - 16 would have hidden spots they smoked. I was offered smokes a few times by a friend (12 or 13) who smoked a lot. Most those kids switched to vapes when it became popularised, some still smoke. Kids have become addicted to substances extremely young for centuries :(

(Keyword being spontaneous.) pneumothorax is when an abnormal collection of gas in the pleural space between the lungs and the chest wall build up. Spontaneous can happen WITHOUT ANY PRIOR TRAUMA. Possible causes: connective tissue disorders, smoking, and activities such as scuba diving, high altitudes and flying…anything that can change the pressure..it’s also a rare complication of covid. (I worked the covid unit so don’t come for me😂) please understand, inhaling any chemicals is bad for you. Whether it’s tobacco or pot, they both go inside and both can give you crap outcomes.
