so runecarver works just like every other energized attack items. i.e. stormrazor, rapidfire etc etc. with the exception that it triggers and charges through spells and it stacks dmg with every time you trigger it during a match. the reason its so good with kayle is, that her range auto attacks are also spells.

So glad you found runecarver! Katarina ult and daggers both count as abilities so stack the energize really fast, you can have rounds where it's shooting 30+ bolts with each stack and doing hundreds of thousands of damage. Would love to see you try it!

How runecarver works is it builds up energised attack whenever your ability damages and when its ready it uses energised attack and grants you 1 rune stack each time for the whole round and after you gain a stack the next time you hit someone with energised attack it does its base damage and extra damage based on rune stacks. The rune stacks does not get consumed it can stack indefinitely. So more damaging abilites you spam more u get rune stacks more the dmg ramps up.

Runecarver 101. You get energized stacks when using abilities as well as the usual walking and attacking. When it pops you send out 1 rune that deals damage. Then you send out 2. Then 3,4,5,6,7 untill the round ends. So it's busted on champs that spam abilities and/or attack quickly.

runecarver basically explained "everytime you hit an enemy you gain '40' energize stacks on the item. at 100 energize stacks it shoots out 1 bolt of true dmg. if after that you get another 100 energize stacks, it shoots out 2 bolts of true dmg and then 3 after another 100 then 4 then 5 then 6 and so on". and it stacks till the end of the round. imagine katarina ult. every 3 hits of the ult, you shoot out more and more bolts. i once did 45k in a single round on swain XD with just the item
