Renekton's ult states it increases auto range, as does Voli's. Unless it's specifically noted, attack range doesn't change for anyone based on size alone.

You farm the non-squishies early WHILE they're squishy. One day he'll learn (or not. Regarding that auto going off on garen when he’s behind the turret maybe it was your passive cause you hit a minion? More likely it was because your r increases your size and subsequently your range but it could honestly be either of those 🤔
