I believe the "Philodendron sp esmeraldas" is also known as "philodendron sp macas" in Japan. Recently it has been given placed in a new species as "philodendron sp dolichogynium"

Indeed, this taxon is sold as sp. 'Macas' and sp. aff. hebetatum. Dolichogynium (literally «elongated vulva», for its long pistils) refers however to its taxonomical section, which it shares with only another two species, P. sparreorum and P. delinskii. It remains an unnamed species for now.

Kaylee I know a philo you would like. Philodendron scottmorianum. It's kind of like a green billietiae. Pictures don't do it justice. The leaves get puckered and the upper lobes are overlapped or they have a very narrow sinus.

And one of the obvious difference between Philodendron plowmanii and sp. Colombia is the petiole. Philodendron plowmanii have a wavy collar but the sp. Colombia have a smooth round petiole like Philodendron gloriosum. Both are gorgeous.

I have a thing for long philodendrons too, but you have to check philodendron sqaumiferum variegata. The yellow variegation will turn into mint and eventually mint green.

All those plants are large to HUGE. Thank goodness I don't try and stuff my plants into a milsbo cabinet because they would quickly outgrow it. I do wish I had a giant sized greenhouse though since so many of these featured plants get humongous in size.

Your Philodendron sp. Esmeraldas is nearly shaped like an Anthurium longissimilobum. Concerning the lake of popularity of Anthurium veitchii, I think it's a problem of availability of space. Due to good KZbin channels like yours or Instagram, most people are better aware now of the size, speed growth, habits and requirements of plants. And when you see how large can be an Anthurium veiitchii, a Philodendron sharoniae, billietae or atabapoense indoor, you usually think twice before purchasing one 'cause it's stupid and irresponsible to buy a plant before throwing it a year or two later because it becomes too large. And we have too the crazy fever fashion for Monsteras (you know, the "Thai.. something" crushing like weeds everywhere while his price collapse 😉) which steal the post of our dear longbois.
