For the 30th week of the 52 week project, I photographed a beauty photo shoot in studio. In this video I show the behind the scenes of the lighting setup and props that we used. 😊

I loved how happy you were with the photos, and with good reason! Do you find beauty retouching to be really difficult and time consuming or have you found a way to do it in a reasonable amount of time? That's what kind of puts me off of it, is having to really edit every single detail of the face - it can wind up taking a while. I definitely notice your improvement with it, great job!

Thank you so much Cindy! I still find beauty retouching to be quite time consuming, I dont think there will ever be a way around that as it does require a lot of attention to detail. But I've actually learnt to really enjoy the retouching process for beauty! I also find it a lot less time consuming to organise a shoot in the first place in comparison to location/fashion based shoots because there's times where I really only need to organise a makeup artist and model, which makes things easier! 😊

What can I use equivalent to your 66cm softbox?

The makeup artist dipped into her makeup with a brush and put it back on the clients skin, as a professional she should know better and set an example

Actually she used a clean brush and dipped it into the makeup once, if you watch the video again you'll see she did not 'double dip,' as she was alternating between using a sponge. I know for a fact she also sanitises her brushes after every use.
