Depression becomes very hard and painful when you are involved in it for many years and no matter how much and in any way you fight with it, there is still a corner of your mind and this is really scary as someone who has been dealing with these feelings since childhood and now I am almost 30 years old. I feel really tired because I have to fight all the time. I'm tired because I wish it was only depression. Unfortunately, I also experienced several episodes of mania. I grab something to get better, but it seems like my wound is old. I don't think I will get better again, it has become a chronic and constant pain. I wish there were people who are still dealing with these difficult feelings like me, when I see that everyone is getting better. I feel how much more painful it is for me to continue and be between normal people and those who fight and get better and how lonely I am.

I appreciate the honesty. It’s refreshing that you share with us, as opposed to making out life is constantly amazing. The social media comparison is the worst, but always remember they aren’t showing everything. Life isn’t always perfect and we all have so many ups and downs. You’re amazing, beautiful and loved by many 🧡✨

First of all… take a moment to look at how far you’ve come. You should be SO proud of yourself for how resilient and strong you are. Depression isn’t who you are, it’s just a part of you. You are so beautiful and so smart. Without you, I would’ve never had the courage to start my nail journey; so thank you for that. So many people are thankful for you, and your channel! You have created such a safe space here for us, and we hope you feel safe WITH us!! Much love from your virtual big sister!! 🥰🖤✨

I feel you 100% on that list. When I wake up early and I’m more productive, go outside and ground myself and eat better and not mindlessly scroll on social media I feel so much better. It’s just hard sometimes to take that first step in doing it. I think there’s something about attributing productivity to self esteem, it’s not good but I feel so much better when I’m more productive. Keeping consistently busy also helps me. It’s good that you have a list if things you know that work for you 🧡✨

I’m so glad that someone opened up about how people have to not just sit in their depression or anxiety but they have to do something to help them get better instead of making it worse. I also get that it’s hard, but if your letting it be an excuse for everything in your life when you do nothing to get better, your also hurting those around you by not being reliable. Thank you for speaking the truth kayli ❤️

it's sooo important to take the steps to try and get out of our slumps. it's so tiring and heartbreaking to keep living in a depressive state, but it's 10000x worth it to put in the work for yourself- to make appointments, prioritize healthy sleep hygiene, going on walks or working out, to meditate and practice self care on a deeper level than buying trendy self care items. every so often I fall back into a depressive episode, I started getting them when I was in high school and I'm now 27. by now, I know what needs to be done. it's still not easy but discipline and routine helps a lot. best of luck, thanks for sharing your journey xx

This video couldn’t have happened at a better moment for me. Thank you for sharing this and for serving as a reminder that getting better is an option. I sometimes get stuck as you said in the wanting to get better but not at the same time so I sabotage myself because subconsciously staying depressed is more comfortable because it’s familiar. Early twenty and mid twenty are hard, but it will eventually get better by knowing yourself better. Take some time for yourself and don't be on IG for too long. It makes you envy others and thats bad for you. Make more time for selfcare and selflove. Do something that you love and you enjoy helps. Prioritized yourself.❤

I started with a nail video and have been binge watching your content ever since, and this video just kind of hit home for me. I have also struggled a lot with my anxiety, depression, and OCD over the years and while I’m on a med combo that works for me, there are still times when I need to remember that sometimes you just have to focus inward and take the actions that you know will help you. Like exercising…that’s the toughest one for me to stick with even though I KNOW it will make me feel better (and look better, lol). Anyway just wanted to say thank you for being so real and sharing this with the internet, it’s nice to know we aren’t alone in this ❤

Loooove the mental health content!! I’m almost done with my masters degree in mental health counseling, and I’m working full time now as a counselor! We gotta keep talking about and normalizing mental health problems. So many people don’t reach out to professionals or do their own research into their mental health because of the shame and stigma. It’s normal to feel well sometimes and to feel unwell other times. We have to get to know ourselves and our mental illnesses, and we have to get to know what makes us feel good or bad.

I read an article written by a psychiatrist explaining that if you've been diagnosed with depression that it is important to be on medication, most likely forever, because it may become very difficult to treat the depression otherwise. I guess that it will become worse over time? I hope you're feeling better.

I am so sorry what you are going through. I feel you so much.. My cat died a few months ago, she was with me for 14 years and I still haven't recovered fully, last week my (ex?)boyfriend of over 3 years and I had such a rough spot where we talked about our future and his mother is suddenly switching up her mind about me and he has chosen her side instead of mine and we haven't talked for almost 2 weeks now. I have never been so depressed, sad and lost and nothing really helps my mood or this numb but at the same time sad feeling :( I hope you will be doing fine and better each depressed episode, hang in there.

The end of 2022 and beginning of 2023 have been so rough but I was doing okay up on to the last 8 weeks I’d say. It’s really hard after it’s been some time of not having an episode and then having one. I’m grateful for this video because this time around it quite literally feels like I’m crawling out of a battle. On every human level ❤️‍🩹this time…I’m fighting , fighting to not let it keep me down. Thank you for sharing this…it reminds me I’m not the only one ❤

Hi, You've said you decided to not look at comments, but I hope you'll read this. Thank you for this important video and thank you for sharing this unconventional subject here. It's not obvious, although a lot of influencers start to raise the issue to awareness. You gave me (and I'm sure for many more people) a lot of strength. Thank you❤

As someone who doesnt eat fast food at all, once you start to not eating it anymore you dont want it anymore cause it makes you feel kinda dirty (cause of the bad ingredients). And I loveee your videos, they are like therapy🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
